One thing we didn’t discuss in this edit is the weight difference. The Pro 12m weighs 7.6 lbs and the XR8 12m weighs 8.6 lbs.

Is your board a carved custom? How much do they cost?

The XR Pro is an amazing addition to the core line up don’t let the name pro scare you If you want to best performing boosting and big air kite this is the one. The pro jumps bigger, turns faster, loops better, and it’s stiff aluula frame feels soo good in gusty overpowered conditions. Highly recommend this kite to anyone who is trying to jump bigger all the way to riders pushing the limits of big air kiting.

The XR PRO goes hard! Nuzzo’s giggly laugh during his first jump with it says it all! 🚀

Thanks for the review, I have a question as around 130kg rider, will the alulu material will benefit me for the price? I rode the 10m ocean rodeo, and it seems still as hell.
haven’t ridden the cores yet, does this material on the core has huge benefit for heavier rider?
    Thanks a lot.
Edit: also how’s the bar pressure in core, I heared it’s very spongy and soft, did they change it in the pro?

Yes the material will benefit a heavier rider as it is much stiffer. You are riding these kites at the top of the range so stiffer is better. The pro has a much more direct feel than the xr7 as far as bar feel.

Hi, nice video! Thanks for this review. My weigh about 95kg and I'm looking for the right size to do big jumps. I usually use an Orbit 14m in about 18/20 knots and in flat water my jumps are about 10 meters, and I would like to switch to the new Core. What size do you recommend for my weight in conditions like 20 knots, 25 knots and above?
    Thx
    🤙🏼

I have a full quiver of XR 7 and 8 (13.5, 10 and 8) and 3(!) handmade carbon boards for all the different wind situations. With 120 KG and 60 years of age, I am an intermediate kiter but very experiences windsportguy (35 years of windsurfing and cat-sailing). From 14-25 Knots: XR 8 in 13.5m. 19-30 knots: XR7 in 10m. 22-35 knots: 8 m. The big board (150x45) goes well from 14 to 20 knots, the intermediate (141x45) from 18 to 25 knots and the small (141x42) from 20 to 35 knots. With your weight go for a 13.5 XR8... You can hold it up to 25-28 knots, it is very stable and amazing for boosting😊

Yeah agreed that the XR8 13.5m will be the ticket for those wind speeds. If you want a kite smaller than that for 23-30 then go Pro 12m.

Watching those landings is painful, focus on technique with a used kite before buying either of these
