Backpacking in Haleakala National Park | Best in Hawaii?

I am heading out on my first solo backpacking journey to Maui in Haleakala National Park which is still the best backpacking trip in Hawaii, at least in my opinion.
Starting at Sliding Sands Trailhead, I will hike to my overnight camp spot at Paliku Cabin and continue my journey towards the Holua Cabin the next day via the Halemau'u Trail.
