Everybody likes to crap on mordekaiser but to be honest he is a late game scaling champion. I went through the hardest games of My Life playing with a crappy team that ended up being a 1v5. I usually like going meta AP tank build to help me win. I'll try utilizing this in my soloQ games so I can be more of a threat early to mid game. What gets me upset with morde is that you have to farm very well to get tank items mid game. I usually go rilaiys, cdr boots or merc treads/Tabi boots, riftmaker; zhonyas hour glass, kaenic rookern, liandrys torment/deathcap or possibly nashors tooth. After that I sell boots into cosmic drive so I have more cool down for late game fighting
Nashor exchanges utility/health in favor of maximizing DPS. Davey consistently builds it on Morde & Voli only because he is reliably better than his opponents and wants to snowball his early lead as hard as possible. Then he goes into Mejai's & Rabadon's to further snowball his early lead. This is not something the average player (who expects to match against players of their own skill level) can consistently do game after game. Davey is not really showcasing a "balanced" build, but rather a build for maximizing snowballing a lead.

riftmaker build you become final boss (1v5)
