I am too young to comment on mami' s expertise. But definitely like to compliment mami and Ganesh on their joint efforts to make these wonderful long lost recipes to come back . Mami request you to make many more such herbal Kozhambus and rasams at the earliest. Thanks for your uploads .
Your recipes are authentic and full of tips. Thank you so much. I wanted to try your ginger lemon rasam. But whenever I wanted to see that some thing else appears on the screen. Please check. Thank you SUMATHI VASUDEVAN CHENNAI
Maaaaami, romba naaliakiiu appuram sandhikkaraom. Mikka magizhchi. Nethikkudhan kandanthippili rasam vechen. Everything was same except, I used very little of the kandanthippili thinking it is a marundhu saman and we cannot use too much (like what you used here). My other measurements were almost the same as yours but, I just used ONE stick of kandanthippili. So, naan adhan kandanthippili rasamne solla koodadhunu nenaikaren. Perukku naanum pottenu oru stick vechen. Will try the right version one more time. I have a few questions - I have most of what you showed here. Of all these, what all we can make rasam with (other than kandanthippili, veppam poo and sadhakupa)? Also, in the rasam you made, can I reduce the quantity of toor dal to 1 tbsp and add paruppu karacha jalam? Anbudan, Vidhya.
Very nice to see you back. Hope you get over the jetlag, Ganesh. I feel happy you brought everything from my natu marundu list posted in some other video. Nice surprise. There is also an omam rasam with wet ground omam...can't recall details but it was given to was when very young.
Hello mami and anna , thank you so much for this recipe , i will certainly make and surprise my amma and appa, after a long time i got time to see as was busy with submissions , i have not heard of that sadhakupa and i do not know whether it is available here in Bombay. Can i make without that sadhakupa ??my namaskarams to you and thanks to anna.

Hi mami and anna... good morning.....rasam has super medicinal uses....n looks yummy.... .hope all fine there...happy to hear ur voice again..missed u...love u loads...
Veena R , The fruits are called "Arisi Thippili" in Tamil and the roots are called "Kandathippili in Tamil". Thippili is called Long Pepper | Indian Long Pepper in English, Pippali | Pipali | Pippal | Pipli in Hindi, Thippali in Malayalam, Pippallu in Telugu, Hippali in Kannada, Lendi Pimpli | Lendi Pipal in Marathi, Maghaun in Punjabi, Pipul in Urdu, Pippol in Bengali and Pipli in Gujarati. It's botanical name is Piper Longum and it is widely used in Ayurveda. Thippili is one of the three ingredients that make up the very famous trikatu (we call it thirikadugam in Tamil), which by itself signifies it's importance in Ayurvedic medicine....I hope this helps:)
Welcome back Ganesh! And namaskarams to Mami, missed you! Fantastic educational video, we don't get these spices in UK, so making list to buy from India next time I go to India, this Rasam is very useful here as the weather is so cold and flu season can get dangerous, I suffered with severe bronchitis one year so I will take any advice to help. We only drink that pink water here, like in Kerala. It really helps! Thank you for the video and Mami, we remember you everyday...my husband asks if there is any new video and we watch together...hehe... regards, Priya, UK
