If you picked up a newspaper this week, you might have spotted a full page ad railing against a planned carbon capture and storage project in the Great Artesian Basin. The trial project by Glencore subsidiary Carbon Transport and Storage Corporation, involves capturing and liquefying carbon from Queensland's Millmerran coal fired power station and pumping it deep into the freshwater basin. AgForce is launching a legal challenge and an ad campaign, appealing to the Queensland and federal governments to use their powers to halt the proposal.
