Holy shit... The technology finally does exist!!! When I saw the way Maynard James Keenan (from Tool) performed on their '98 tour I thought about something similar to this setup... Fucking AWESOME!! See MJK has always prefered to perform in the shadow, but holy shit if there was an alien avatar...
the technology is called 3d projection mapping. I think they used sth. like the windows kinect system (xbox) in combination with Derivative TouchDesigner software to make the image move in realtime. And a projector, of course.
the best part is it only uses 3 cameras to work.. you can set one up at home.. on above you on to the left or right and one at your front and the right software..

Can someone that knows how to remix , can they please remix scary monsters and nice sprites just like that and upload a video ! Ill spread It everywhere and I'm sure Alot of people would love it in a clear version !
