Beryl has now intensified into a hurricane and will strengthen even more as it approaches the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles.

At true blue bay resort Grenada we are taking this storm seriously. Beryl is in a similar location to Ivan which hit us in 2004. And that didn’t go down so well. It’s the usual dilemma we want it to move north but then we wish the storm on other folks. Let’s hope it can speed through the grenadines where it will have a lesser impact.

Believe me. Beryl will be surprising all of us. The water in the caribbean is exceptionally warm above and beneath the surface. Wouldn't be surprised if Beryl maintains it at major hurricane status while interacting with Jamaica. Category 5 strength should not be ruled out at all from recording breaking Beryl

Dani, Beryl looks like its gonna skirt you pretty close at this juncture BUT it sports a relatively small circulation which is a big plus. Unfortunately though its gonna pass South of you thus that's a minus. The real problem is probably gonna be those mountains as they can't deal with a lotta rain like we can here in Florida (which is basically a non-issue because here its WIND as the big concern). Hopefully that wall cloud will miss the island & its also possible that shear may become a factor before it reaches you so we keep the fingers crossed.

Yeah the GFS is having it around 980mb right on them. Not so good. Their big concern are those mountains but hopefully at least the wall cloud will miss them to the South. Be nice if some shear got into this thing before it arrives there.
