This music made me cry, made me release something inside me, made me feel true too my self, made me feel empowered when I was driving back home tonight. thank you. you are my favorite band, you make me feel something inside me. from brazil, with all my heart
Heavy growth, harder life Tread the water, or you die It’s the pressure of ours Got the shore, got the wave It’s the only things we have It’s the treasure of ours What is the point of making it right? What is the point of making it right? This is the one I wanted to say This is the one I wanted to say What I wanted to... What I wanted to... This is the thing I wanted to say Nothing at all What I wanted to... What I wanted to say Nothing at all Nothing at all What I wanted to... What I wanted to... I`m a big gothic and darkwave fan from Germany. Now I like this iceland bands like Samaris or Kaelan Mikla. I hope I can see them here in South-West Germany on a tournee... The lead singer is so so sweet...Great job Samaris, you are so great!
I quite enjoy the original English lyrics, but then again, I also quite enjoy the ancient Icelandic poems. All said, I hope only that samaris persists, whichever directions they pursue. It would be tragic for this project to falter out before finding its full audience.
Guys, seriously, you have to be the most incredible music act world wide for me right now. Do you have any idea how hard it is to maintain a shapeless expressive sound? With James Blake's recent somewhat paranoid album which relied on randomised structures, you have to be the leading heterogeneous sound. Simply amazing. Please stick to these minor scales though yes? I want you to maintain that delicate poised thread of ethereal, haunted, introspection throughout your sound. Simply staggering amounts of emotive innovation within your music at it's best. That guy who does your beats.. pfff.. he needs to reveal himself so I can send him my soul in a bag to him!!
you see a resemblance between samaris and htrk? i love both but htrk reminds me of a sleepy almost drunken haze after intense moments. samaris reminds me more of reflective moments, sober.
@Samaris This track fast became one of my favorite tracks when it was released. Seams like a classic when listening to it today and it somehow brings back memories that wasn't even real. A shame the quality of the video is so bad. Perhaps a RUclips thing from back when it was uploaded. I see that anamorphic lense was used and I'm guessing that the original version must have looked great. An re-upload if the original still exists would be great🙏🙂
The video is incredible 😍 I don't know enough words in english to describe how much i loved it. It made me feel something that i seem to have forgotten... That feeling when you are on your own and you're 16 years old. I'm listening to this and crying ❤️❤️❤️
It's beautiful as always! But why in ubiquitous English…? :( I love your "Silkidrangar" in Icelandic :) I hope you will go back to Icelandic with your next CD :)
Pretty please someone make me playlist with songs like this... All I can add to it is Princess Nokia's Metallic Butterfly and Solange (although Solange not quite right...
buttercup23thousand Thanks for the idea i will check for tunes with a similar vibe / beat. Now i just can think of Goldie's "Inner City Life" and Alex Reece's "Pulp Fiction" but those beats are a little thicker. I think I've heard songs in that vibe... Because i have made some too...but havent edited them yet...
Iceland is such a cultural exporter. There's so much good stuff happening on that island. This song made me buy the album and it's really good.
I could live there.

Am I the only one that, despite the energetic break beat, feels sad when I listen to this song?
