    As a Bayern fan, this season I get a feeling like I used to got during 2020 season under Hansi Flick. We are playing so good attacking and pressing wise, and had some major defensive upgrade too. I hope Kompany succeed here.

    Gab, what did Bayern Munich ever do to you?! This man is a gargantuan clueless analyst. His analysis and comments are always super-biased. Why can't ESPN sack this guy?! A football analyst of his status should at least try to offer non-biased analysis of games. That's why we tune in, to listen to good informed football analysis; not to disgusting biased nonsensical analysis. What did Bayern Munich or Kompany ever do to him?! This Bayern hate is really getting old!! Jules is really good; the only reason I tune in. He offers real unbiased professional analysis. ESPN, Gab has no place here. And I'm pretty I'm not the only one that feels that way

      I dont think it-s personal to Bayern, he is doing this to everyone, just negative criticism purely biased. But I agree with you.. it is really unconfortable to just listen to this kind of biased critisism.

      I completely agree with you, the indirect hate towards Bayern that he shows. He’s minimizing Bayerns achievement because of the opponents they played. I promise you every match Bayern played that they won by 6+ goals. Gab would have never predicted that. If anything he was probably hoping that they would lose. So he can have more negative content he can spew about Bayern. It really bugs me that pundits say “teams are gifting goals to Bayern” they can never give them credit..

  • @mikejack9733
    @mikejack9733 Месяц назад +2

    The indirect hate he shows towards Bayern is clear. He’s constantly minimizing their achievements by downplaying the quality of their opponents. I guarantee, every match Bayern won by 6+ goals, Gab wouldn’t have seen that coming. In fact, he was probably hoping they’d lose just so he could have more negative content to throw at them. What really bugs me is how these pundits always say, “teams are gifting goals to Bayern” - as if Bayern’s success isn’t earned. They can never just give them the credit they deserve.

      He's a Media $lave, of course he wants all teams to go toe-to-toe with sides like Bayern, City, etc. and commit suicide by copying Pep and "playing the right way". Southampton are doing a good job of that and are on their way back to the Championship already.

      @@chriskar2324 On top of that Gab has a pretty decent CV. Covering football on major news networks for almost 20 years. Also known for creating the podcast 'The Game' which is also pretty acclaimed. So not really random, and not American, which were the two parts of your argument. And his comments were not really against most German pundits on the topic. So... not ok.

    Im okay with taking 1 loss in 8 games. If we lost the game with a heavily rotated squad to protect core players, that’s fine by me. The football under Flick doesn’t worry me, injuries do

    Let's be honest, even last season when Leverkusen beat Bayern 3-0, they still couldn't control possession against Bayern. It was around like 35 percent.
    Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to take away anything from them because they were incredible last season, it's just nobody in their right mind thinks that most Leverkusen players are comparable to Bayern's.
    It's just that those Bayern players were managed so badly under Thomas Tuchel. And when they are managed the right way like under Kompany, Leverkusen can't get anywhere near them.

    Gab Marcotti is incompetent at his so called job, he is absolute clown. In 3 out of 4 games vs Bayern Alonso chose cautious counterattacking approach. in 2 such games he won. last time they beat Bayern 3-0 with exactly similar counterattacking approach. Alonso is not a delusional idiot. He knows a) that his team are a bit shaky defensively at the start of the season; b) Bayern are on the roll at the start of the season. And Alonso is not a coach that would go into exchange of blows. He is about control. with the ball or without. And Alonso is chameleon coach. He played defensive counterattack football with Leverkusen in his first half season. Entertaining 2-2 game last year happened because Leverkusen were full of confidence and had no pressure going into game vs Tuchel's Bayern.
