I have a Fluval m200 heater which will not heat a 55 gal tank over 76 degrees. I am sending it back and I ordered a Eheim Jaeger 250 to replace it. I am running a Inkbird heater controller to protect my fish from getting cooked. Last month I had a no-name titanium heater that shorted out and cooked 31 of my fish! Some I had going on 4 years😢 Beware of cheap digital heaters!

Please note that the Fluval E-series thermostat/heater is fully submersible, as indicated on the box. However, it should not be placed vertically in your aquarium. Instead, it should be placed at least 45 degrees to the left or right. Moreover, it is crucial to ensure strong water circulation throughout the aquarium to maintain the temperature. The easy-to-read LCD screen provides an accurate temperature reading. It is recommended to run two heaters as a backup plan. Most of the issues reported in the comments section could be due to people not reading the enclosed instructions correctly, or not doing enough research before purchasing.

The fluval E series is garbage. Can't maintain temps. A E300 could not maintain temp in a75 gallon tank. When room cooled to 68 at night. It dropped temp. What good is 300 watt, if it doesn't use it.

@@georgkashuba-xc3dh what's your room temp? That's what matters, if the room temp is 10 degrees less, no mater how high you set it, it will only do 10 degrees different. So if you want a 80 degree tank, room has to always be at least 70. I bought 2, put them in a 75 gallon tank and they still stop heating more than 10 degrees different than room temp.

@@darnice1125is this unique to the E series or is this the same on other Fluval heaters such as the T series?
