    12 volt RMS For a sine wave is peak 16.97 volts. Rectifying and charging a capacitor will settle at the ac RMS value x square root of 2. So 24 volts input will develop 33.9 volts across the capacitor. If you want to end up with 24 volts you need a voltage regulator OR a 16.97 volt ac from the transformer. This video is BS
