That proposition is misleading. When Jay was first making his waves in the hood, battling, I’m sure there were better rappers out there somewhere but at this point….with all these reps for all those years 😬. Toure is right in saying that singing is different. It’s more raw talent. Jay is still competing lol that’s what keeps him sharp. So at this point the bars just are endless. His mind is cavernous lol. I really feel like he is waiting for the next it dude tho. Think about who he’s crowned/signed. Lupe, Jay Elec, Roc Marci, Boldy James, Mach Hommy, and the more poppy Cole and Wale. Jay is competitive. He only spars and collabs with who he sees as the best. Look how he stepped it up on the Jay Elec album lol. He’s always watching lol.
