Fascinating adjectives appear in this video. Living in leafy Lancashire, I am close to the touristy town of Blackpool and the very tranquil Lake District. Lenny Henry once famously commented on where residents of holiday towns actually go on holiday themselves. Lenny's famous quote went like this: "Do they go to industrial towns and admire the large smoking chimneys and say 'Oh by gum! isn't that chimney and all the toxic air such a pleasant change from the beach, the lakes and all that boring old beauty stuff?' How many adjectives were used in that comment? Answer - 15 - 1. Fascinating 2. Leafy 3. Touristy 4. Tranquil 5. Holiday (Noun modifier, which is used as an adjective but can be a noun itself - This is what describes the noun best and always comes directly before the noun in question, like 'seaside resort' and 'church spire' or even 'a beautiful old church spire.') 6. Lenny's (Possessive adjective - using a proper noun (name) to describe something, like Ann's hat for example) 7. Famous 8. industrial 9. Large 10. Smoking 11. Toxic 12. Pleasant 13, Boring 14. Old 15..Beauty (Used in 'beauty stuff' This is another example of when a noun can be an adjective. 'Glory days' would be another one).
Bandung I live there, it's a quite nice city to visit. There are lots of history in Bandung, because Bandung is one of historic cities in Indonesia since Dutch colonial. It has many kinds of traditional food, they're so nice. The people are very welcoming and friendly
I have been living in the peaceful Nordic city, Helsinki, for 7 years. The city is bustling and lively at time such as International Labor Day, actually, it is uncommonly crowded at the day. The first May is the beginning of Finland's spring. Finns usually are friendly to foreigners, even they claim that they are generally shy compared to other Nordic countries. However, they don't shy of welcome. The best way to talk frankly is to sit together in the sauna without cloths. Turning to the city, it has historic sites which built among 18th century under the Russia rule. The city center has momentum churches including historic and modern ones. The city goes to sleep in the summer, people take holiday abroad or in countryside. Don't be surprised when you found you the only passenger in a tram. The city has fascinating nature, or more precisely people only take one corner of the nature. It has long coast with loving sparsely little islands. Taking a ferry to visit some unspoiled islands, the sea wind will bring you fresh air. By the way, Finland air condition is incredible clean, if you from highly polluted Asia, you know what dose fresh air truly mean when you take a deep breath. In addition, the city owns large forest parks, you can rent a city bike with affordable price to take a forest tour. You can find a wild nature. Finland is never short of forest. However, the city turns into a depressing dome in winter, raining all the time, day time has only several hours, no sunshine at all. You better come here, if you want to experience hold breath under water for months. The darkness will pour the water to your burning live, turning it into ice. However, snow can crack the dark dome, bring you some hope and joy. If you love skying or any winter sports, Helsinki can offer you unprecedented happy.
I live in Georgetown which is in Penang island , It is a historic town in Malaysia with lot of unspoiled british colony buildings and churches . Georgetown has lively and happening bar streets in the town especially Love lane, most of the bagpackers like to visits. The lifestyle of Penangites are slow and peaceful but the peoples are friendly. Thank you Anna you're good in teaching English.

Thank you for today's lesson. It reminds me of my business trip to London. It is really nice and convenient city and there're many historic and solemn places I'd like to visit again.

I live in Aleppo city which is located in northern Syria.Aleppo considered big city. I feel like it is sleepy city as there is no much to do for fun . It has historic castle that is unspoiled and has survived the war
Djibouti is a small country and peaceful . There are a nice ,opening and smilling people. Djibouti localite a busling area. It a golf Aden who is a busy place for all the business and cargo around the world.
Thank-you for nice video Anna. I'll introduce my city. My city Nara is historic city, because we have so many old temples and shrines. In addition, it was Japanese old capital of Japan 1300 years ago, so we also have the old palace site.

Norway is a blustering country with some villages consisting of few people. Oslo is the capital city and translates to us living or our lives in more translated English grammar. 95% of people are welcoming with the few that are not. Be aware Norwegians do not care of the class system, treat eachother equal, certain types of jobs get tips in the hospitality fields and equality is stressed with the up most importance. There is a lot of hiking locations, from the lively fjords to the purest rivers of Freya. You never know what you'll find here especially in the mountains!!!!😂🤣 Overall I'm proud to be Norwegian as the humanities sectors are working tirelessly to develop the land in this way. Norway's the 9th richest country in the world and is open for business in April 20th this year onwards. Which means any aspiring business men or women are more than welcome to come. May 17th is Norway's indipendance day so there's a lot of Bunas warn and ice-cream!!!!❤️💖. There's bring you child to work day, flexible working hours and most importantly... everything's more, including pay. Come visit Norway to see the top of the world and who knows...you might just make friends for the rest of your life!!!!👏❤️💖 I liked this video Anna English yes!!!!👍😅
I am italian and I live in Milan. It is a big city (in Italy only Rome is bigger than Milan). It is a city with a lot of history and it is friendly, in fact it has a very good nightlife. Unfortunately there is a lot of air pollution.
Perfect. Thank you for completing the task. One tip: native often use contractions like ‘it’s’ especially if the words are repeated. In the third sentence you could have used a contraction for ...and it’s friendly.
@@EnglishLikeANative my teacher always told me that I can not use the contracted form when I write. In Italy teachers tell us that we can use it only for speaking.
