Very Happy to have found your channel! my Grandfather was Danish and my Dad will be thrilled to see some of these recipes. Thank you for sharing them with us - I like the good instructions you give - you make it easy to follow. Thank you again!
Looks delicious! I grew up with this in Iceland and cannot find anything similar in America. Thank you for this recipe. I will give it a try very soon 💙
Thank you for commenting. Glad to read that you will make it, and be sure to let me know how it turns out for you. I also wish you happy holidays. If you don't eat everything the day you bake it, I suggest that you briefly heat it up in the oven the following day, and it will be flaky/crisp.
Tusinde tak skal du have. Jeg formoder, at du ogsaa kan forstaa dansk. Glaeder mig at laese din bemarkning. Haaber at hoere mere fra dig. Mange hilsener fra Karen Grete
Skål! Thank you for all you do! Great job! I'll try this technique using shredded butter but what I have always used was chunks of butter in the very beginning and gotten indistinguishable results from using a solid bar of butter flattened. The trick is merely keeping it cool throughout the process until cooking. Just my own suggestion for anyone not already familiar with the alternatives. Thanks again, like always very good looking.
Skål to you! Glad to read your remark. Hope it also works out well for you this way. If I have leftover next day, I usually put it in the oven briefly, to get it crisp again.
Thank you for your wonderful video, Karen Grete and Heidi! Your Danish Braid Pastry looks both beautiful and delicious. I can't wait to make this recipe!
Wienerbrød is my favorite danish pastry.i have learnt so many scandinavian recipes thanks to you! Thank you so much for this recipe! loads of love from Hvide Sande. 🇩🇰😘💋❤️
I plan to make this soon. I am thinking I will sprinkle some coarse super over the top before I put it in the oven. Thank you. I have looked for this recipe for a long time.
Looks deliciou... o.O WAIT A MINUTE! I *wanna* see Harry! Ok, put jokes apart: very nice and look delicious (it's more layers, something like puff pastry, I already did something like that, but usually we used margarine instead of butter for the "center" part of pastry, to make it a bit lighter)... I definitely have to try this (although I don't get crazy form almond, maybe I'll try it with some jam)... ... and however yes: I'd like to see Harry too :D I love dogs
It’s the best coffee pastry in the world 👍
Agree! Can never have enough!

You are so funny! I did show Harry in a couple of my videos, but I guess I will have him show up again. Yes, just use jam, it works well. Enjoy!
OK, I have to tell you, that Harry actually stole a piece of my pastry and ate it fast. I have to watch him.
Ahahah that's a good boy :D
I definitely have too look for him somewhere, so ;)
Actually, Harry shows up briefly 3x in this one ruclips.net/user/ScandinavianToday. He is 12/ American Bulldog and 1/2 Maltese.
