I’m happy to say my teen has finally woke up to processed foods. He has done OMAD and then carnivore. He’s lost 100 pounds and feels good about himself. He does get annoyed with how others treat their bodies.

I changed my habits too late but your son changed course at a young age so he will have a much better health life than me.
It is possible for him to help those other people. But we have to be careful not to lecture them and make it more like a first-person testimonial. I share with my family and friends what I did to change my eating habits and the benefits that I've gotten from it.

You do know that Serotonin the gut is used by the body in order to control things in the intestinal tract, not in the brain to effect mood, cognition and memory, right??? Y'all know that science has known this for awhile, right? It's like this; You don't put lotion on belly to moisturize your face. You have to overload that biological pathway first which pretty much means overeating. How comes alot of these people don't think fat in food makes you fat, but serotonin in food gives you serotonin effects??? It's literally an oxymoronic view of the body.

It's a difficult cycle to break out of, and something I can personally relate to, so I can see why it's difficult to not only connect the dots, but also make a long term change. If you find yourself without any support from friends or family, and constantly stressed out and/or in unfavorable positions in life, you can turn to anything for just a little bit of comfort. You have to make that conscious effort every day to understand why you do what you do, what those triggers are & most importantly, not beat yourself up (or give up) when you relapse.

It's good your getting better but saying Keto made me healthy is like saying Regular Depression cured my crippling, in the hospital due to physical symptoms Depression. You still probably need alot more help then you think, and I hope you find it one day. Ketosis is literally the bodies defense mechanism against starvation, in case no one told you why we evolved this biological adaptation. That's the only way to enter ketosis; To starve your body of calories, or of useable energy stored in the form of glycogen, which mainly comes from carbs and is extremely difficult for the body to produce via fat and protein intake because it costs more energy then you make and store. That's why you lose weight; It's called wasting when your in ketosis, not weight loss.

It's an addiction, and like any addiction there is a strong need to indulge and denial about how it's not that bad.
There's also the fact that these companies design the food to be as addictive as possible. Within the bounds of the law, you are being exposed to the most addictive possible things that still somewhat count as "food".
An addict has no chance against this. So you get obesity.
Personally, I have found fasting for 36 hours once a week to be beneficial in fighting the addiction. And after relapsing, fasting is also helpful to return to normal.

So I'm starting thereinstead of a big overhaul in diet wich isn't sustainable and will lead to turning back to old habits and preferences. Just one day, but its encoraging with not feeling bloated today and not feeling indigestion or stomach upset either.
The idea is eat fege first, then protein and fat and last carbs and sweets. This order buffers the effect of sugar and carbs during the digestive process. Thats fairly promising as it might have been just eating carb and sigar heavy foods on an empty stomach causing a lot of problems

That's why there's a lot of anecdotal evidence where people who tried the keto diet improve their mental mood. I have mood disorder, and it definitely improved my mood when I was doing keto. Of course, we can't be dogmatic about keto or other diets and say that it's the solution to our mental health problem. I think the point is, good nutrition improves our mental health. But managing it needs a holistic approach. Nutritional psychiatry is relatively new, so it's understandable that many therapists don't discuss diet during therapy session. I guess in the future, we have to go to a psychiatrist for our medication, go to therapy to help us process what's causing us anxiety, then also go to a dietician for a personalized diet. All this to our mental health. I think, the consolation for all of these, is that it will also improve our physical health and our overall health.

If it still happen on a keto diet and you experience high cortisol spike but it seems to go down after "calming" down that shows me that it could be a cortisol issue. It's the same with obese individuals we experience a high grade cortisol response and every so often our glucose and insulin spike. My only other take is the type of carbs you put into your body but that is just a suggestion. When you said "don't eat processed food" do you mean only eat raw foods? Explain yourself.

Yes, there are different processes like how a pickle is made from cucumber, vinegar, salt and spices; however, in this context "processed food" is referring to corporate packaged food with a long list of unnatural ingredients, preservatives, coloring, or other chemicals. Often with HFCS, seed oils, trans fats, GMO or other undesirable additives.

Both are symptoms of a poor lifestyle. If you eat wrong stuff and don't exercise, your cells will downregulate insulin sensitivity and the same happens for brain. You have too much of the wrong stuff and too little of the good stuff. Exercise is a known mood enhancer and insulin sensitivity promoter. Feed the body vitamins, minerals and all the goodness the balanced diet provides and a lot of health issues will sort themselves out. Here we are just explaining one symptom with another, both results of one wrong approach.

Exercise does NOT give you energy. Exercise DEPLETES your energy AND destroys your body. That's why your body hurts after you lift heavy weights, that's why people look so miserable while they exercise (look at their facial expressions), that's why you sleep a lot more if you exercise. Sleep is our repair mode; if we have a lot to repair, we will sleep a lot.
Seriously, how can people be THIS BLIND?
Sleeping a lot is NOT a sign of a healthy body full of energy, but the complete opposite.
Then, let's take a look at what happens WHILE you exercise:
    - Your heart rate gets WAY above its normal baseline.
    - You sweat profusely, losing a lot of water and electrolytes, which are essential for your body.
    - You get a fever (you get all red and your body temperature gets extremely high).
    - You experience shortness of breath.
    - You may even experience dizziness or headaches, or even faint.
Now, imagine that ANY of those things happened to you WITHOUT DOING ANY EXERCISE. You'd be rather worried, wouldn't you?
You see where I'm going, right? People are CLEARLY brainwashed if they consider these symptoms a bad thing when they occur outside the context of exercise, but a good thing when they occur within the context of exercise. That's stupid and goes completely against the laws of nature. The body does not work like that.
There is NO context whatsoever where a headache, a stomachache or a back pain, for example, are sings of something GOOD happening to your body. They are ALWAYS signs of something BAD.
While you exercise, your body is constantly giving you signs that what you are doing is extremely harmful, and yet you do it like blind sheep because some corrupt doctor and a forged study told you to do it. You are all Big Pharma's and Big Sugar's puppets. In fact, it was Coca-Cola who actually started the whole myth that exercise is vital for us (they shifted the blame towards the "lack of physical activity" so that people would stop blaming their disgusting, sugary drink). If you don't believe me, Google it.
Oh, and one last thing: a body with big muscles IS AN OBESE BODY. Having big muscles is also bad for the heart, as those muscles require a lot of blood pumping and maintenance, and they also require a lot of food, and everyone knows that eating a lot is directly linked with aging. That's why the guy in this video looks so old, abnormal, drained and tired.

The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). We are saved by grace through faith, not works (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV). All have sinned (Romans 3:23 KJV).

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says that Jesus died for our sins “according to the scriptures”, and that he was raised up on the third day “according to the scriptures”. Please quote the Old Testament scriptures that predict those things
