I'm disappointed that a low approval is considered what he "DESERVES". Does anyone think he really cares whether we approve or not? Doge has no power. Elon Musk is just a consultant for trump and his cabinet, nothing else. Elon Musk has zero power. Anything he suggests is up to the president and his administration to make the changes.
Doge is not a government agency. It never was, and was never intended to be. It is supposed to be an outside entity that looks at government spending anything it finds is directed back to Trump and his administration to decide what to do about it. However, any significant decisions still require congress vote and approval.
The idea is pretty straightforward it is no different than when people say the police investigated themselves and found nothing wrong. The government investigating itself does nothing since, like police they will always find nothing wrong. That is where a third party intervenes to look at things from the outside rather than the inside.
He's not even close to getting what he REALLY deserves.
So sick of "bombshell" headlines with all the impact of a wet firecracker. He DESERVES to be forced out of ALL of his companies and tried for espionage. Nobody cares about the approval rating of an unelected nonofficial who is doing his best to break the government so that he can profit off of it.

The concept that a not-elected person has an "approval rating" boggles my mind. The idea that we even discuss the trends of "approval rating" for a not elected person... that's idiotic acceptance of his victory over democracy.
On a technical level, everybody that isn't stuck completely alone with nobody else knowing about them has an approval rating. People just don't care about it most of the time so nobody bothers tracking it.

That combined with the fact that all,the people who really wanted an EV already have one. Europe is just further along the adoption curve due to Government mandates and less choice
