For anyone who is confused about 2-5 after you do row 1 it’s back to normal with a sc in every stitch

for anyone confused about rows 2-5 of the bag, you just continue the stitch she showed all the way around, the corners are no different, and the outside of the bag is facing you :)
Is that stich the Front Postal crochet? I tried that and it looked really wonky

For those confused about rows 2-5 just keep doing those front post single crochets, even if they do clump up a bit. It will “stretch itself out” when you start doing the rest of the bag. Just trust the process, at least that’s what worked for me!
Did you turn though ? Like you go around the whole bag through the posts and then turn around ? Or just around and around a and around

Gente, achei so que pelo tutorial a bolsa ficou pequena (sim, eu usei a linha do mesmo tamanho) por isso eu aumentei a base e fiz 51 voltas, o que ajudou no tamanho. Fora isso, vale super a pena, sou iniciante e essa foi a minha primeira peça!!
the thumbnail makes it look like you’re gonna have a big bag but i’m using the same yarn and hook size as the video tells us to and it turned out really small
The bag stretches when items are put inside because it’s mesh
I'm using different ones, but I'm crocheting a bit looser than normal, and that helps with the size

I am making the bag at the bottem wall in the first row of the front stitch the walls curve inward really bad and i`m not doing it really tight. Do i have to undo it and do it another way or trust the process or what????

I’ve made this bag 3 times now and I LOVE the look of the final bag, but am adjusting for the size I want. After my second try I thought it was perfect (slightly smaller) but I put stuff in the bag and it stretched out SO MUCH! Hoping this final attempt will be my last so I can have the perfect bag for summer !!
How did you adjust the base to make it smaller? How many rows did u crochet instead because since i’m using a bit of a thicker yarn and it’s turning out bigger than the video and i was hoping to make it smaller without messing up the ratio of stitches
@@Caroline-ti2xk I kept the width the same of 16 chains long, but for the length of the base I only did 35 rows instead of 45. The bag is still over sized but not HUGE like I accidentally made it the first time. Also I noticed my yarn stretched out a lot when I put items in the bag, so I only did about 10 double crochets for the sides
What yarn did you use? Using acrylic yarn might be the problem. It’s important to use 100% cotton since it doesn’t stretch at the end :)

Hi Vivi. For row 1-5 of the Body, after Slip Stitch should we do 1 ch then Front Post SC each OR we just need straightly do Front Post SC accordingly ( no need to add 1 ch?).
No 1 ch at the beginning of each row (1-5) , actually if do 1 ch before, you can do it, nothing change.😊

it usually depends on the gram!! i bought this ball of yarn and it's 50g each, so i can buy 7 balls of yarn!! >:3
What I did for rows 2-5 is after the first front post stich, I went and do a double crochet across then front post stich then DC then front post until I reach row 5. Looked okay though 😅 Hope this helps!!!!

I wasn’t able to get the flat bottom. After I started the front post crochet it become 5 rows that are sticking out. Still look beautiful but confused on where I went wrong

@@septianarikhasyakirah9521 personnally i gave up on the technique presented in the video instead i did one row of single crochet in the back loop only then worked my way up in regular single crochet i don't know if i explained well but it worked for me

9:32 push the stitches back like they did and continue doing front post stitches, i did a slip stitch at the end of every row to make it more uniform and then 1 chain before the start of the next row:) hope this helps!!
For the front post, mine looks small compared to yours. Am I supposed to do 5 rows, or was there more I needed to do or was I supposed to ch 1 each time I go to next row?

From the first round of the body of the bag, how do you transition from the first row to the second row (until the 5th row)? i had this problem too, you have to stretch it out a bit and also trust the process bc it naturally straightens out as you make the bag :)

@@violetquiles5513 i think do front post sc for all rows, i tried it and it looked the same as the video and it was also strong and can carry weight (which i am thinking was the goal here). It does look ugly and awkward on the inside tho

@viviberrycrochet I am very very confused about what happens for rows 2-5 after the front post sc. I thought that it implied doing only fpsc but that doesnt look right and I was crocheting from the inside and it looks like you were doing it from the outside when it cut to the end. I'm not sure if im misunderstanding but I am very confused at this point and have tried redoing it a few times.

after the first row of sc front post everything fell apart. i didn’t know what to do for row 2-5. it wasn’t building any height, was time consuming and didn’t even look pretty. idk what i did wrong

im pretty sure you can alter the bags size completely im doing the bottem of the bag longer and the other part just at the top and deecresing the strapes size

I used cotton also and I was told it's good because it doesn't stretch out as much as acrylic. I sewed a liner inside my bag to help it not stretch as much

You can make one by just increasing the chains of the base. It has to be an odd number though. For example I made one with 36 chains
..soo is the bottom of the bag supposed to be so small..i did a lil over 47 rows but it looks small.

u can make it wider w the amount of chains but it needs to be a multiple of 2, if u want to make it longer add more rows of sc

this is a lot later than ur comment but U can it just might make the bottom of ur bag more droopy because of the mesh stitch, I would just do normal single crochet rows for that part and it will pretty much achieve the same
