The pre-gravity bubble dialogue when playing as anyone else is likely my favorite due to how much Carol knows she messed up trying to find and talk her sister out of this mess, heck its much stronger if you're playing as Carol with the cutscene before it because it's one of the few instances where she's absolutely livid as in "Serpentine will be brutally turned into a handbag if he doesn't cut his shit out" kind of Livid. But just breaks down because she also made everything worse, she knows she got on every last nerve of Neera's and needed to make amend, She apologized to Neera because Carol needed it. Heck the only character that doesn't get pissed but gets close in this game is Milla.
Neera looks a lot like Undyne and Blaze. Undyne is a strict woman and never gives up and wields a spear. (Undertale) Blaze is proficient in fire magic and can also be short-tempered. (Sonic the Hedgehog) Neera is a very interesting character. She and Lilac look very strong. I love them both!
I LOVE Serpentine in both games ESPECIALLY in 2! I love that he partially tried to back up Carol even though they're not together, possibly showing a partial heart in there. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he becomes playable in Freedom Planet 3 in some way! (If we ever get it, that is)
I think it's fine that they didn't, and probably a deliberate choice. His lack of movement implies that he's not as engaged in that particular conversation except for the parts he cares about. It also builds on his unsettling presence, as your eyes become slightly drawn to him while everyone else has their backs turned, not knowing if he's planning to do something.
Lilac always act serious when she needs to, Carol always wants to have fun and Milla is trying to be brave. .....and then we have Neera here who always act like an emo girl
I’m sure Neera was not wanting to kill- - - O K … so maybe she was just doing her job, or really badly lost her cool.🥶(how serious where you about that “head transplant” Neera?!?) She is doing the really hard job of a cop 👮… and that deals with a lot of serious $#!%, yes, I was never a cop, but I’m sure it’s really that hard!!! I think this is a cool relationship honestly. Anybody else got friends/family into real “cop work”?
She isn't clearly doing her job right... If she cares for the Shang Tusia ns,the first thing she should've done is REMAIN ALIVE. Shang Tu will be defenseless and will be much easier to conquer with a dead Neera lying around (Shang Tu vanguard vs A dragon made for genocide) She does risks the lives of many by being not around Shang Tu,but she'll risk even more lives when she's dead
@@AllenTheAnimator004 yeah… but this is way after that! If the magister doesn’t give her a day off, I hope General Gong Does, even as Temporary Regent!!!… … learn life & see what this is that you are really fighting for, for everyone!.. Live & KNOW and EXPERIENCE what you are fighting for literally!!! P. S. I saying take a Vacation Neera, with your friends!!!
I've hated Neera ever since her debut in the first game. Tbh,she doesn't deserve that Shang Tu regent promotion This scene explains why. She doesn't cares about family(specifically Carol's), she's mistrustful towards Lilac claiming that she would betray her by joining Merga, and is willing to suicide for Shang Tu not realizing that she'd put Shang Tu in more danger when she's dead. I wish she could realize how a hot-blooded person she is
Well Neera is strictly a royal guard and doesn't seem to have any concept of family and love. However, after this point in the story, she is slowly starting to warm up to the idea. She still has a long way to go, but at least she's trying to understand.
No offense but did anyone else in this comment chain actually play the game? - She is the most distraught over Shang Tu being overtaken because it was literally her home and she equates the people of Shang Tu and the Magister himself to her family. - Carol even asks her before Gravity Bubble if she understands the significance of caring for your family, and Neera states she believes she does. - Neera is called out multiple times on her attitude. This very cutscene has Lilac trying to get her to chill out. Gong also has to defuse her recklessness earlier in the game, as does Milla try to calm her down. I don't think they ever present her attitude as a good thing or like the story is favoring her personality- she very clearly has flaws, but they just present them as coming from a mostly sympathetic angle, which is the same as the rest of the cast. - Her mistrust in the second game is founded on the fact that someone who was literally on the same force as her betrayed her, in addition to Captain Kalaw. It's not at all unreasonable that she becomes distrustful of others aswell, especially when they give her very good reason to distrust her (like Carol leaving out on everyone without saying anything). - Neera never says she's going to kill herself for Shang Tu. The idea that she'd lay down her life for her home is a signifier of her conviction to protect people, it's not meant to be taken at face like she'd literally blow herself up for no reason or anything and leave everyone unguarded. The decision to make her regent was founded on her sense of righteousness and sheer dedication to her people- which is more than proven over the course of the game, even if she grapples with other complexes. You could have made the case for Neera in FP1 being heartless, but i think they've made it clear here that while flawed, she's a genuinely noble person who does have everyone's best intentions in mind, and is learning more and more.
“I agree. I will begin the head transplant immediately.” Carol should have worn the brown pants today.
1:10 Serpentine being likeable, by standing up for his minions, even though they refuse to be minions
Neera is such a good character in this game
Yeah! her character was much better than the first game.
@@DJDRAWER well she had focus this time, in the original she was just a highly ranked guard along with Gong
SO SERPENTINE DECIDED TO JOIN THE FREEDOM TEAM SO
AWESOME

Lilac reminding everyone why she’s in charge. When tensions flare up, she knows how to put out the fire. What she’s says goes, no exceptions.
If looks could kill, Neera's glare would've erased both Carol, Serpentine, and anything within a two-mile radius out of existence.
Thumbnail looks like Lilac and Neera got in a fight, while Carol and Serpentine are shocked by the sight
Yeah, I'm surprised Neera was never called out for all the troubles she made Lilac and her friends go through in the previous game.
And Milla's stood to the side looking as innocent as canbe
Carol is the best character from Freedom Planet, change my mind

The Snake is the best
it goes up when Milla laughs in front of serventine and then when milla laughs she sends serpentine flying xD

Lilac makes such a good leader.

I thought she said Milla at 1st
In the gallery, there was a unused sprite of Serpentine facing backwards. They could have used it at 1:56.
spade didn't show his attacks either, but I know the sprites are in the gallery but I don't use it, just like his brother doesn't have sprites
