3 observations I want to compare in 5 years. 1.) Teams that build from the portal every year. How do they compare yr to yr? 2.) Teams that develop from within. Are they more competitive from yr to yr? Teams that are instantly competitive with new coaches that bring half their teams with them. Are they still playing at the high level or are they back to where they were before the hire?
I'm help you speed the answer up. Take a look at the NFL and you will have your answer. Portal is Free Agency and High School is the draft. But most importantly kids get to pick where they go $$
Honestly it has become very difficult to build within. Unless you are winning at a high rate the players you recruited bounce if they didn't start their freshmen year. It is going to be a race to finding the perfect balance between building within and building with transfers but i think rhule is attempting to do just that. Build within and gap stop with transfers
@dougie2631 He could not do it in the NFL. That's why most good college coaches don't pan out in the NFL because you pay for play and have to manage team balance. All I can say is good luck because it's wild out here right now.
I dont know if I'll pay that much attention to these players that have left, but if the ones who would have started or been major contributors at Nebraska end up wallowing in the depth chart at their new school, I might have a little chuckle.
Zach Miller. He actually walked on at nu as an option QB for his true freshman year and transferred to uno when Callahan came in and made the transition to a pro style offense
Too bad he didn't make this decision 2 years ago, he could be a first or second round draft pick at tight end if he would have been training that position for more years.
Limited needs are the most desperate kind. Because you have everything else. All you need is this one thing. If that one thing was easy to get, you'd already have it. So now you're desperate. Think about it
The fact that I heard that Haarberg's girlfriend is Harper Murray may be a good reason why he's decided to stay with the Huskers at a new position.
Couple of warriors there

Yea he ain't leaving Harper haha. But seriously, I think HH could go on and play TE in the NFL someday. Like that UNO QB did.

Alex Grinch was terrible at Oklahoma and USC
I’m not saying the Texas Tech WR thing isn’t true but Mitch don’t believe everything you see on Twitter.
Hell make a great tight end he has great speed for a guy that big
Didn’t Boerkircher come back out of the portal?
Will harburg be in heisman contention next season?
Not a chance.
