Hi Deronda. What beautiful wild Blackberries! Those are sooo expensive out here in California. Question: Could you use a cheese cloth and squeeze all the syrup out? Great video Deronda. I love your videos. See you next week. :)
Lila Arce Bunches of thanks...Lila!! You can definitely use cheese cloth to squeeze out all the blackberry juice before adding the sugar and returning to a boil. Learn how to make SWEET CREPES with blueberry sauce next week!! Until then...ENJOY!! -Deronda :)
I don't use a measuring cup to dip that stuff out I just pour it straight out of the pot right into the jar no mess no fuss
New jars out of the box are not sterile.Todays dishwashers will heat jars and lids 180F / 80c, for jars that are clean with no food, dirt or other objects in them. One step you can eliminate.
I boil my lids. But rings and jars I run through dishwasher.
Do you know how many cups of juice resulted from cooking your berries?
How many jars did you get from the 6 cups of berries? 6 pints and 4 half pints like you showed in video?
Yes!!
Where do you get your lids from?
Most grocery stores have them.
