Your lashes and brows look great!! A lash lift is a lash perm, like how some people get a perm in their hair. She glued your lashes down to the silicone pad and then the white cream she put on is perming lotion so your eyelashes take to the curl that the silicone pad or the “slug” is creating :) !
is it damaging to your lashes to get what she did bc i’ve been wanting to get it but i’m scared it’s going to hurt them
@@kaygilleland5621 if its done right by a professional it will be fine/ lashes grow relatively fast anyways so it wont be permanent if damaged
Then why does it only last a month? Perms are PERManent lol
@@kaygilleland5621 it can be if you get it done very often as the perming lotion is essentially weakening your lashes to get them to take to the curl shape - it’s recommended that you wait a month minimum between each treatment but the lash lift should last up to a month if you’re being careful with them anyway
@@briterry4961 your eyelashes are always growing and eventually they fall out one by one and you get new lash growth, this takes about 2 or 3 months but obviously each individual lash it at different growth stages hence why all our lashes don’t fall out at once, we only see usually a lash or two at a time fall out and this happens mostly in our sleep

It looks good! You probably know this by now but as much as I know, it basically what they call physical bonds are what are broken when styling/washing during a lift. Because these bonds are so weak, they can be easily broken, so as the hair of the lashes drys, the bonds are reformed. When lifting or perming lashes it is basically changing what are known as chemical bonds - they break chemical and disulphide through a reduction which is basically a chemical reaction. My best guess is that initial liquid was perming lotion, which enters the cortex by lifting the cutical, breaking chemical/disulphide bonds.
Further explanation; ‘It does this by adding hydrogen to each sulphur atom which allows the polypeptide chains to slip into their new shape (on your shield)
Neutraliser/fixing lotion then removes these hydrogen atoms via oxidation which forces the disulphide bonds to reform into this new structure.’

Basically a lash lift is a perm for your eyelashes. So the first solution breaks the bonds in your lashes, the second reforms them in the more curled + lifted shape, and then the tint obviously tints the lashes

As a beauty therapist myself, we do recommend that clients don’t come into their appointment with eye makeup on as this can just be a hassle. Also, with the lash lift, the rods above the eyelid are different sizes because peoples eyes can be small medium or large, it has nothing to do with the length of the lashes. Also yes they glue it onto your eyelid to keep it in place. No hate whatsoever
As a fellow beauty therapist myself I can say that the size of the shield absolutely does correlate to the length of your lashes..? So you’re saying if a person came in with large eyes and very short lashes you would use a large shield on them due to their eye shape? Because the lashes would not be lifted whatsoever 😂 the length of lash determines the size of shield used.

She is basically glueing your lashes to the silicon pad. After that she put on the "relaxing cream" (its breaking the structure of your lashes so they can take on the form/curve) and the cream after that is a bond inforcer (it is giving your lashes the structur back... and cause they're glued to the pad they take the curve of the pad)... its actually the same process as a perm at a hairsalon

As a lash technician this is so funny to listen/watch on a clients point of view haha.
Eye gel pads are used to isolate your upper lashes from your lower lashes- the eye shields have different sizes from Small to Medium to Large, small are the most popular shield. Glue is then used on the shield and the eye lip to glue them down! A small comb and probe is then used to lift and glue the lashes to the shield. The perm solution is first placed for 10-12minutes, followed by the fixing solution for 5-8minutes and then tint for 5minutes!

it's like a perm, first she glues the lashes down and then the cream like breaks the bonds in the hair or something which is then after set into place in the shape of the silicone pad.

the “ointment” is actually glue to stick ur eyelashes to the plastic and the whole “cream” is setting lotion to help set ur eyelashes in place

You should get classic eyelash extensions they last 2-3 weeks. Then you need to get infills. I recommend classics If you want a natural looks.
