What a blessing it is to hear this music again. Timeless beauty and inspiration to anyone with ears and a heart to feel the love coming from each of the performers. Thank you so much for posting this.
There were videos of Fred Waring and the young Pennsylvanians doing a road concert that were shown on PBS tv stations. I remember this show fondly and can not find it. I believe the title was All About Love .
What a privilege it is to hear, among all of the wonderful performances in this alumni concert, the Pennsylvanians' rendition of Tom Waring's timeless "Sleep," and Robert Kranendank's stirring performance of "The Happy Wanderer"--at the same tempo and in the same key that he performed it with his father sixty years ago! See that performance on RUclips too.
My husband was a Pennsylvanian and we went to a couple reunions, but he's passed now. Hello Jackie, from Ted's wife.
