Hey Chinia 💗 The title got me. My daughter actually dyed my hair a lime green last Summer. I was wearing a close cut then. I thought of Medea when she told one of her kinfolk YOU LOOK LIKE A BIG CAN OF SPRITE! She was wearing a green sequined dress. I actually had fun with that color and several others.

Serious question !!! Why do stylists put jam, edge control, etc … directly onto the scalp? It causes a lot of irritation and build up 🥺

it makes the partings of each plait slicker and it gives the hair a neater look!

honestly it depends on the person cause for me, i get no irritation at all. build up can also happen if the stylist puts WAAY too much gel (at least in the cases that i've seen) but yea like jade said, its to make the parts look neater and give the hairstyle a neat and crisp look
