Bai Jue to the rescue...it's just too bad he hasn't given up on his idiotic plan. I love Tianqi....he will do anything to protect Shanggu. It's a good thing that Bai Jue anticipated Wu Huan's next move...and was able to save Shanggu. Muguang is useless. His wife has been doing so many evil things right under his nose...and instead of exposing her...he decided to protect her...and throw his son under the bus. He's a useless Emperor and an even worse father. I kind of feel sorry for his eldest son....because his father is a wimp and he chose his wife over his son. They left the wrong person in charge. They should've left Gu Jun in charge of the three realms...he would've done a better job than that idiot.
It's not an idiotic plan, I have seen the drama three times already and each time I think that there was no other way to do what he did, 'cause removing Houchi / Shangu from his life was not only for Wu huan, but to save his life and prevent her from finding out her fate and again sacrificing herself for everyone (something he didn't want) and on the other hand, they weren't very strong when they woke up and if he didn't get them away from him Wu huan would hurt Houchi (Shangu) who still hasn't woken up.
@@anythingmylove sorry but it was an idiotic plan. When he woke up he didn't have his full powers because his split his original being to create Qingmu...and he used the other half of his powers to stop the tribulation...so that's why he wasn't at full power. It's understandable that he wanted to protect Shanggu and his son...but he sealed her powers when she was just a baby that's why Houchi struggled to gain power. He left her defenseless. Yes, he gave her a bracelet that would allow her to tap into her powers but it didn't always work. Even after he regained his powers he still treated his family like crap...because he thought it would make it easier for them to move on after he sacrificed himself...he only made them miserable...and in the end Shanggu kneeled for 500 yrs to get him back...that's 500 yrs that she didn't spend with their son...that's 500 yrs where she didn't do her job as the chief god....that's 500 yrs where she stopped herself from living. Bai Jue was so used to being alone.. so the decisions that he made didn't really affect anyone else...but that changed when he fell in love with Shanggu...but the problem is his mentality didn't change. He made the decision to sacrifice himself which is an honorable thing but he was only considering himself...and how losing her would affect him. He didn't consider how his death would impact her life. He didn't take into account Shanggu's personality. If he did....then he would've known that she would never give up on him. Everyone was making decisions for her...and never once gave her the opportunity to choose for herself. He stripped her of her memories so she wouldn't remember the tribulation but in doing so...she forgot her own son..in the end her memories were restored...so she suffered an even greater pain because she knew that he never stopped loving her...and that he sacrificed himself for her. His plan was one-sided and full of holes.
Wu Huan still hurt Houchi...even though Bai Jue was marrying her pathetic daughter... she cut off her spiritual veins...and if it wasn't for Gu Jun she would've died. His plan would've been in vain if Gu Jun didn't sacrifice himself to save her.
@@shontelagrone8713 It is deeper than that. You make it sound like he was not suffering also... The man suffered tens of thousands of years to collect her soul fragments in an attempt to resurrect her everyday pouring his power into her egg. Also, the fact he split his being into two was so he could acquire not just demon energy but to fuse his immortal energy with it to make chaos energy. The tribulation could only be satisfied with chaos energy sacrificed and he felt he pushed Shanggu into that fate which... he did. He literally trained her only to make her a sacrifice. Especially when Tianqi had a plan to save her but in the end he stopped Tianqi only to find his actions gave Shanggu the death sentence. You complain her life stopped for 500 years after his death, his life stopped for 60,000 after hers. He suffered just as much and for longer with one goal moving him forward.
He awoke with just a portion of his power, he didn't know who his enemies were, how many or how strong, there was a war between immortals and demons and on top of that, he needed to keep a distance from a highly emotional Houchi (Shanggu). Especially to keep his child safe otherwise they would be targeted. After all, if Shanguu dies, that 60,000 years of hard work is literally for nothing. That is also why he sealed her memories about the tribulation. Another reason to seal her memories was because she wished to not be Chief in her next life, which overall he wanted to respect her wishes which was also linked to her powers.
Obviously everything didn't go according to plan... his split original being gained a personality and ended up marrying Houchi (Shanggu) and having a kid with her. And as you stated, dangerous situations and many more but honestly speaking, it is stupid to think any of these things were controllable. Could he have thought things through more and had a better result? Sure... But at the same time he is not perfect and he is flawed in many ways and the drama does not try to hide it. As in life, hindsight is a bitch isn't it? His plan was to resurrect her, let her have a life she wanted and sacrifice himself for the tribulation so she didn't get forced into that situation. I don't even think he planned for her to have her 'Shanguu' memories back but she did and that opened another can of worms.
You say his plan is idiotic... but how would you have dealt with the tribulation? If anything, I think this drama shows that even if you think you have a full proof plan, there are always plenty of problems that are unaccounted for that can happen. Split second decisions under emotion and stress that sounded good in the moment but in practice were bad choices.
JingZhao is looking for love in all the wrong places 😂. Because Bai Jue doesn't love or want to have anything to do with her . Just keeping her in line so he can focus on Wu Huan 😲

Bai jue is not respecting Shang gu as god, who can make decisions for herself. It's a selfish "love" in the end coz he made Shang gu a joke in the eyes of other gods.

you are using American logic to interpret a Chinese drama. In Chinese culture, lying or hiding truth is not regarded as bad as in Judeo-Christian culture.
After this series I watched Miss the dragon and I couldn't see the actress who played Wu Huan here, as a victim/innocent character.😂😂😂😂😂

Wu Haun Was taken in by Shangru When she was a lonely Phoenix but when Shangru died in the Tribulation of Chaos Wu Haun became power hungry. Mofung Has a pretty good idea that his wife is evil and behind everything but he keeps trying to protect his wife and his children which is a big mistake on his part because he ends up losing everything in the end. Bai Jui wants to protect Shungru from perishing in another Tribulation So hes trying to collect enough chaos to take her place, He's also trying to make her hate him so that when he does sacrifice himself she won't be heartbroken.
