I love your column and fence videos and plan to recreate both next year with a couple of changes. I am going to eliminate the plywood to lighten up the load and use solar lights so I don't have to wire them. If that fails, plan B is to follow your instructions. Your ideas translate easily (unlike some other channels) and your humor is spot on! I forgot, I also plan to use drylock paint instead of the cement to finish the columns because I have previously used that and the foam headstones are now about eight or ten years old and still going strong. I actually found that by accident while waterproofing our basement. I made a huge spider this season, Miss Charlotte (named by my husband), by taking an empty horse feed bag, rolling it in a ball, duct taping it all over, then adding large bubbled bubble wrap that I received free from a garage sale site, then I made a smaller one for the head, I bought foam for basement pipe insulation from Lowe's, ran a length of wire in the legs and used duc tape to form the claws, then I gathered the 4 lengths of foam with duct tape in the middle and attached it to the underside of the spider. Covered her in canned foam like you used on the column, going side to side until her was covered. The only problem I had was the foam wanted to slide off the bubble wrap so for my next one I plan to paste newspaper on the bubble wrap, then foam it. For her fangs I took two strands of foam and dipped them in blood red acrylic paint She looks awesome, even if I do say so myself. I watched three of your videos and had to subscribe! Thanks for the incredible ideas!
