  • Flow was ~ 1350cfs. "Recommended" is 1500cfs and up.
A seldom paddled class IV tributary creek of the Cal Salmon. Seldom run because it requires a ~ 6.5 mile hike that's tick invested and can be exhausting depending on the current trail conditions. Not to mention home to many rattlesnakes. Luckily, we didn't encounter any. The first 3/4 mile has a large elevation game. Pro Tip - We carried our empty kayaks late in the afternoon the day prior 1.5 miles in so that we didn't have to carry them loaded with gear for that early portion. We had to deal with many downed trees along the way which overall took an enormous amount of energy out of us and added a lot of time to reach the put in.

Very nice video. No obnoxious music. Just the river. Thank you!

Looks lovely in there! 😍 Low, but still runnable. Sorry I missed this one, but that hike is another story: class 4+ hike w class 5 ticks, more elevation than expected, and a bunch of downed trees while backpacking boats. Way to make it happen! 💪🏼

Not entirely sure. We just went off of the description on AW I believe or any beta from kayaking pages from what I recall.
