This is not to negate the truth and necessity of it but what about the men? Shouldn't men be fasting for their wives? Shouldn't men be praying and doing the internal work to get ready? Today is my 31st birthday and I'm definitely learning to accept my single season. I'm learning to appreciate where I am and I'm fighting off counterfeits when they try and figure a way back into my life. I'm in a place of contentment. That's not to say I don't have my moments where doubts start to creep back in, but it's easier for me to stay strong when that happens. Reading the word everyday and prayer works wonders. Oh wow, I needed this. I remember at one point I would cry out to God about "my future spouse" asking when, when was I going to find that one. After some time passed something in me shifted, I no longer was crying out to God about my spouse, no, my cry changed to "Lord what is your will for me? How can I please you Father, I wish to hear from you Jesus." Holy Spirit come into my heart, you lead and I will follow." -- and although I do wish to be married one day before this world fades away, if I don't it's ok. I know the love of God , my first love.
