I am now alone for nearly 6 years and I feel that I am ready for a Godly man in my life I do not want to be lonely anymore. I want somebody who aligns with who I am where we can walk fwd together in purpose trust love and joy. I have been seeing somebody but I don't want to move in or sleep with a guy I want to do the right thing and get married. Reading all these comments and realizing I’m not alone in this wait. It gets hard, you get doubtful, worried, lonely. Before I was trying to rush into a relationship because I was in fear of maybe never getting to meet my true love or never being able to get married. over the course of time I learned you can’t make a relationship work if god hasn’t called you to two together. And if you do try to make it work your most likely going to unhappy because of the standards you settled vs the man you’ve praying for. Being lonely is hard, it sucks but heartbreak is even worse and it’s something I never want to go through again. I’ve learned that I have to stop putting my eyes on man or other peoples relationships and focus on my personal relationship with God. Because at the end of the day Gods timing is perfect and the lords word says that he will give us the desires of our hearts if we seek him first. And the lord is truly faithful. A man of his word. Keep pressing in and hanging on ladies were in this fight together ❤️.

But that was not all on them. God knows your heart and at the time my heart wasn't in it my head was...anyways this is just conformation for me that I am in fact on the right path in my life. I have said this right from the start of my journey, " I am not going to be married again. I do not want a husband.I am looking for a partner, a wonderful friend, someone with interests similar to mine. I would like someone to go for walks with, to sit and listen to music, to go to the theatre occasionally with, go out a meal sometimes, go on a holiday together. And most important of all: someone who will recognise my wish to live in this country ie that I don't want to move away from here. Why would i? I do not want religious fervour to dominate my life. I deeply love God but my life cannot be governed by religion. I have my own beliefs that God is well aware of. I am not entering into a controlled relationship ever again. I don't intend to marry again.
What am I resisting? I think I’m resisting truly giving all of my heart to God because I’m afraid that He has nothing for me. That even after giving him the reigns over my life I’ll still be lonely and sad.
