Like how some will just click their tongues really fast while bombarding the camera with fast hand motions, as someone with adhd, it just looks like a bunch of A-holes trying to appeal to adhd fans through asmr and yet fail at it.

I was literally just thinking about how ADHD ASMR got popular in recent years, and then I got this notification, and then I learned it was ADHD awareness month and I had no idea, how crazy is that ?
Also I haven't finished the video yet but I just gotta say, as a 19 years old, almost 20, I struggled with ADHD symptoms all my life but I never got diagnosed for it.
I know I definitely have something but it seems like my current therapist is not competent in that domain so I didn't get diagnosed even though it's the reason why I seeked a therapist in the first place.
It makes me feel better at least to see that someone much older than me kinda struggle with a similar situation, and yet still went and had a rather successful life. I was kinda stressed about never getting a diagnosis and how that could impact my life negatively but I imagine I shouldn't be so worried and try to cope with it how I can.
Getting a diagnosis would be nice but maybe I don't absolutely need it, especially because I don't actually 100% know I have ADHD.

A diagnosis is important to some people because it's kind of like putting a name to a face. When you know what it's called it can be easier to deal with. If you are in a situation where you are unsure why you are reacting in a certain way, having a diagnosis and being able to identify the signs can be very useful. Otherwise you might only get confused and make a bad decision. At the same time, everyone is different, and what's most important is getting familiar with yourself and your own idiosyncrasies. Two people with the same diagnosis might react in completely different ways in the exact same situation. Thinking ahead and using past experiences as a guide to present and future scenarios is crucial.

The thing which I really related to in this video is perfectionism. I struggle almost everyday with it; I want to act perfectly and for things to go well. I know that it isn't possible but I can't seem to shake it off. Sometimes its a constant buzz of thoughts about having to succeed and do everything right. I'm just happy to hear I'm not the only one :)

Finally someone that gets it right, so many years of cringe, fast, unwatchable videos clearly showed that they didn't really do the research or care enough to put that effort into the video. Thank you for this.

I was diagnosed with ADD and ADHD, which is the same thing now as a kid. Me and my friend from school still have it. I got migraines and my brain would simply lock up trying to do schoolwork, I couldn't sit still in a classroom. so I preferred listening to how to do math and such over using a book. It helped some, but I was a bad kid until High School since I couldn't get into the work and got frustrated. The terrible nearsightedness didn't help with the migraines either, I didn't get glasses until I was 15 and worked a job.

Figures my birth month is also ADHD awareness month. Lol. I'm 35 now. Got diagnosed when I was in like 3rd grade. Had to take a massive amount of Ritalin as a kid.... coincidentally, about 3 days ago, one of my managers asked if I had ADHD. When I asked why, she said she had just seen me start, stop, and start 10 different things in about 2 minutes. Said it was impressively chaotic to watch..
I was so happy when I discovered ASMR. Makes my brain all fuzzy, slow, and calm. I've loved you're channel for a long time. Thank you so much for all you do!

Literally I can’t stand the fact that every asmrtist always makes adhd videos super fast and aggressive and say it’s because we can’t pay attention. Like I genuinely feel like it’s offensive, a stereotype of a mental illness. Like yes attention deficit is in the name but it’s different for different people. Most of the time people with adhd cannot focus because there is outside stimulation preventing us from being able to focus. Thank you for this video I loved it.

    also its adhd awareness month????????????????
