  • For those of you who are just visiting this series, أهلا وسهلا!
This is a series conducted in Modern Standard Arabic between my teacher Dr Ahmed and I on the Arabic Seasons. The goals of this conversation is to:
    - Force myself to speak Arabic even for the words that I do not know the meaning of.
    - Speak slowly and clearly.
    - Use simpler language for ease of understanding.
    - By engaging in conversation without prior preparation, the hope is that the viewer gets an unfiltered, more natural perspective on how to navigate through the difficulties of not knowing how to express oneself in Arabic.

    ٱلسلام عليكم
Don't you think the first time you said خمس عشرة about the حرارة was correct? The chiastic concord rule applies here I believe.

    Salaam,
Just wanted to know how many years it take for you to be fluent in spoken Arabic and how many sessions would you take from the Ustaz per week to accomplish this fluency. Can you give the what’s app contact number for the Ustaz. Thank you

      Wassalam,
Please check the description for how to get into contact with Ustadh Ahmed. As far as fluency goes, what I have found to be the most useful tips are:
      - setting a daily study schedule: this will vary according to each person whether that’s 30/60/90 mins or more/less etc
      - sticking to that schedule as life goes on and we get different responsibilities/ challenges thrown our way.
I have found that if you do the above two things, it is only a matter of time before you start seeing results that will surprise you بإذن الله.
      والله أعلم
      Hope that was useful.
      Wassalam
