As a Niners fan, Deebo has become super underrated for the average NFL fan. The Niners offense looked terrible in every game he was out, including the NFC Divisional against the Packers. He make any play a touchdown as he is probably the toughest dude to tackle in the NFL right now, and you can see how much better the offense clocks when the defense has to scheme for Samuel. I would love to keep BA, but I think Deebo is more valuable for us. But it won’t matter, the Niners will do what they always do and sign BA to a multi year extension at the end of the free agency period.

I think part of it will depend on how long Trent Williams wants to play. If he's planning to play beyond this deal, they can restructure and work out an extension to kick the can down the road a bit.

Your absolutely right! The 49ers have a top 30 draft visit with with Javon Baker! Have in person draft visits with Brandon McCaffrey who is Christian McCaffreys brother, Terrell Owen's son, and Brendan Rice who's Jerry Rices son.
Any one of those players could easily replace Brandon Aiyuk.
Trade him the Steelers for their 1st round pick in this year's draft and
And use their 19th pick to draft the best player available. Then the can give Brock Purdy a long term contract of at least 45 million.

Smith will get paid because two of our vets retired. Look how much our pockets opened up once they left. I really hope the Eagles do not pay Reddick. That money could go to younger players in the coming years. You don't pay 30 year old defense players big contracts because of these issues. Plus they drop off badly and less hungry to produce on the field. Next year, Slay and Bradberry will be gone to free up money as well. 49ers should have never paid Hargrave, they would have money for Aiyuk.

As a Niner fan, I'll take Aiyuk over Deebo anyday when it comes to being a pure receiver.
As a legit X, he does more schematically for the team as well. He's just better.

The other issue with wr position, esp Aiyuk level wrs is they want to ball out. BA didn't feel the 9ers used him as much as they should have in the sb. Raiders paid Devante Adams & then screwed up his legacy by crapping over the qb position. DA was furious about qb decisions. He said in an interview that he needs to make a difference NOW, not whenever the team gets their act together. I think if BA stays, he needs to get paid & the 9ers need to use him in playoffs as much as regular season. He's watching out for his legacy as well as pocketbook.
What about Kittle or McAfffery salaries
As a serious Niner fan, gotta pay Aiyuk, and try to restructure other contracts, yet again. It's simply too difficult to find receivers who do as many things as well as Aiyuk. Pay him now, deal with the rest later.

Team basically signed Javon Hargrave instead of paying Aiyuk. That is the reality of it. I love Javon but this team never needed him. Team has to find a way to keep Aiyuk he is just to good to lose and he is better than Deebo. Hargrave is getting 4/84 million 40 guaranteed and Deebo CAN get let go 2025 so they need to keep Aiyuk til they can get the cap money to sign him. The big question is can Brock Purdy carry this team?

A year ago, my mind was at: Niners going to have to trade Armstead or Aiyuk at the end of the season. That was easy...trade Armstead. But at the same time, I was like "SB or bust" for '23. It's hard for me to pick between Aiyuk and Deebo, but I guess i would lean more towards trading Deebo. Sheesh..I don't know if we'll get to the SB back without these 4 stars intact

Steelers fan here. We have NO QB1. We have two broken QBs. RW3 threw so many balls behind line of scrimmage much like Big Ben last 2 years his career. Nobody and I mean nobody wanted Fields. So one can talk about how much Steelers saving at QB position but what quality is there ….

Deebo is just a better player then Aiyuk, sorrrry but it’s true. I actually got to see him play while he was in college, he was unstoppable, he was lightning quick, and the way he processes things in just seconds is amazing, he couldn’t be stopped or contained, no one could catch him, and every night he was cooking and moped his opponents with the floor. He was one of my favorites when he was entering the draft that year. I know this might be favoritism cause I’ve never seen Aiyuk when he was in college but the 9’ers have to do something now. If I were the 9’ers GM I would trade Brandon Aiyuk and keep Deebo Samuel. The only team that has same player as Aiyuk is the Chargers, and I am a targeted both Joey Bosa and Austin Ekler, with there first round draft pick this year, for Aiyuk’s services. That’s just the smart and safe move I would take

I’m not a 9ers fan, but if the 9ers can’t find a way to move on from Deebo an Kittle soon they’re kind of screwed moving forward. Mccaffrey can do what Deebo does but better, and Aiyuk is a better pure WR than Deebo imo
@@marza339 cost too much for half a season of play. But with Mccaffrey, Samuel, Williams and now Aiyuk (and Purdy in the future) they have easily one of the most expensive offenses. Teams in general, but so damn much is tied to just 4 offensive guys, and Kittle hasn’t been in the same in forever.

Kittles an old TE who’s had injuries throughout his career, it just makes the most sense to part ways with him now so you can sign these guys and not have to replace all 3 starters and possibly more later.

You have some solid videos and I like that you made the intro so much shorter. But your take seems to be to not pay anybody top money lol. So far don’t pay top money to a QB, RB or WR that’s I’ve heard. I get the previous years show that the there aren’t top paid guys in the SB but it can’t always be to not pay your franchise QB, top RB, or top WR.

49er fan: if I had to choose between Aiyuk and Deebo, I’d trade Deebo. Deebo is only fit for one offensive scheme, is injured often, and the 49ers could absolutely fleece a team for a haul of picks just to see him fizzle out. Aiyuk is a legit WR1 in pretty much every system.

There may be some place I have not found what Aiyuk wants with a new whatever. Aiyuk knows just how much SF can go. He wants more than two things; Aiyuk wants to leave, or he wants only pay. I do not believe 49ers will pay over $20k per year surly not able, way they talk, up to $25 per year. I have read on 3 Apr 24 he may be traded and that the Chiefs would give some picks to get him, only are not the Chiefs having a cap problem and I do not feel Aiyuk will take a 1- or 2-year contract. IDK if it was me in Aiyuk, I would ask for 3- or 4-year extension/contract, $16.5 mil first year percentage increase next years, no trade, a few great bonuses (writing $1.5 mil plus, and like $30 mil up front guaranteed. I cannot see him taking a team not even close going to the Super Bowl for pay, should he then it is only the money. Unless you are Marino, no SB rings may not be in HOF house.

Purdy will get paid after this season, it’s just one more cheap year for him, they’ll redo his contract at $45 million minimum, maybe over $50 million depending on how next year goes.
2 years left on his low price deal. Also, $45 mil is fair for Brock and the cap will go up. I worry about life after Trent.

Like others have said - we need to keep BA - the connection between Purdy and Brandon is undeniable. We overpaid for Debo who had his best year prior to his extension and that has really cost us. Just like picking Arik Armstead over D Buckner - jsut didn't work out for the Niners - they need to just 'PAY THIS MAN!'
Aiyuk is a serious open field problem for all NFL defenses
3 receptions for 49 yards didn’t seem like too much of a problem for Kansas City. More than likely he’s a problem for the less talented NFC! The last two years the NFC champions looked unstoppable until they faced an AFC team.
