Fun Fact: Brian May ( lead guitarist stripped shirt ) was given a Knighthood in the 2023 Honours, he is also a Dr of Astrophysics. The drummer ( Roger Taylor ) was given an OBE in 2022.
This was 1974 and we were mind blown. Queen is the greatest band ever. The guitar player is Dr. Brian May Astrophysicist and he still tours with Queen +Adam Lambert and has the same hair only it's gray now.

As a 68-year-old Londoner,I have to say Queen are one of the greatest but we always "Bet Without The Beatles" who revolutionized The World not just The World Of Music with their 230 Songs and have sold twice as many Singles and Albums as the next 2 Worldwide acts combined(Elvis/MJ).
When they turned up at Adelaide,Australia 500,000 greeted them at the airport and lined the 7 mile route to their hotel, :)
rodger taylor the drumer/singer who did the high notes is also still in queen.john deacon the bass player stopped playing and being famous when freddie passed.he keeps himself off the radar and lives in a small uk village.

I've seen Queen many times in concert, they were the best concerts, he sure was a showman but their music is unmatched. They were extremely popular in the 70's and 80's. What's amazing to me is how young people are going back 50 years to listen to great music which would be like my generation of the 70's going back to listen to music from the 20's which we never did.
Queen absolutely amazingly talented band, all the members of Queen have written No1 hits, no Auto Tune in them times just pure genius and talent,Queen have a vast catalog of amazing music, all the band were absolutely incredible musicians, they have sold over 300, million records and Queens greatest hits is today still the best selling album of all time in the UK 🇬🇧. The lead guitarist Brian May hand made his electric guitar 🎸 out of a old wooden fireplace with his father and still uses the same guitar today, Queen sole live aid with there legendary performance, Freddie Mercury the lead vocals, is considered by many the best frontman of a band ever, Freddie Mercury also collaborated with Michael Jackson with a couple of amazing songs, Michael Jackson was a fan of Queen and would sometimes attend a live Queen concert, absolutely amazing reaction thanks 🙏

This video was made for a programme called Top of the pops because they were unable to appear . There are videos of crowds waiting for other groups Green day is one singing this number word for word decades later. It blew us away when it was released and still does to this day. An opera in one number.

this song back in 1975 was no 1 in the Uk for 9 weeks, when he died in 1991 it got to no1 again for another 5 weeks

Freddie Mercury was opera trained and could sing in FIVE octaves. He was brilliant. Both of my parents are passed, and they were huge Queen fans. I like to think of them up there somewhere just chillin' w/Freddie Mercury and other greats that we lost too soon. Great reaction!

Goodness, this makes me feel so old. I heard this for the first time in 1975 on the radio when it was climbing the charts. I was 26 years old at the time and I'm now 73. This song has stood the test of time.

Brian May, home-made guitar- done with his dad, astro physicist, still has that hair, it's just all white now. Freddy Mercury is the song writer, he put 3 or 4 of them together. Great piano player, Sang all the harmonies himself at the start. High notes the drummer, all 4 guys wrote hits, finished uni and had "real jobs too." Do you know we are the champions, another one bites the dust or we will rock you from sports? Those are all from Queen.

In the 60's and 70's there so much talent out there great music was just falling out of the sky, it was just amazing time to be a music lover. What coincided with this was the big leaps in home audio equipment technology, with amazing sound the amps, receivers, and speakers just getting bigger and more powerful with each manufacturer trying to out do the other. Back then if you couldn't shake the neighbors windows, well you needed to upgrade.
Type in Cole Lam,a pianist genius who loves playing Queen, started 13 years old,look him up,especially if you can find now when he is about fifteen and joining in with a nine year old boy playing Bohemian Rhapsody in a railway station in i think London.

I remember when this was out - Christmas period of 1975 - I was 12 and was learning to play guitar at the time......
Towards the end... Brain May playing the tapped harmonics...
I had a very basic idea what false harmonics are, and could only just about do it - single notes at a time......
Then I notice this guy playing the tune by tapping out a series of false harmonics.... 8:52 in this video.

So much fun! How about a reaction now to the man Brian May (Queen's guitarist) credits for giving him his guitar sound, the legendary Rory Gallagher? Rory was in the same league as Hendrix, Page & Clapton but chose to stay true to his music and not worry about becoming a commercial success. Still very successful, having sold 30 million albums, he is definitely work taking a listen. Try "A Million Miles Away" or "Who's That Coming?" from Irish Tour '74 for a sample of his amazing guitar work. Thanks!

Queen with Freddie Mercury were performing in the 1970’s and 1980’s. 18 albums. They stayed together until Freddie’s tragic death in 1991. This was the very first video ever. It’s why MTV and VH1 were created. Queen made the video to promote the song. Other bands started making videos too and voila MTV. Go down the Queen rabbit hole. You won’t be sorry.
The beautiful harmony in the very first "singing heads" portion is actually just Freddie Mercury harmonizing with himself of multiple tracks. He was writing three songs at the same time and had the genius inspiration to combine them into this epic masterpiece. Nothing like it before or since.
Back in the day I was a car audio installer. Some people would have a 20 thousand dollar car audio system or more the very first song they wanted to hear was this one.
