I started by pushing the rubber grommet through as much as I could by hand, then used a small flat-bladed screwdriver to keep forcing the rubber through the hole until I got all if it through. It's difficult, but I kept working at it until I got all of it to seat properly. I don't think it critical and the camera would still work fine even if the grommet wasn't positioned correctly.
@@KevinSteinwachs Yes, I was going to comment that the whole thing isn't waterproof anyway. If that is a concern, you can use duct tape and silicon to try to seal it up. Personally, I'm more concerned that the water is able to get out rather then get in. I always leave a drain hole at the bottom because I think it's standing water that causes shorts and rot.
My A7 kit came with a couple of extra power wire plugs to hardwire the camera instead of using the cigarette lighter plug (if you don't have them, check with the company, their customer service is excellent). Mount the cameras near the running lights on the RV and tap into them for power. Then to power the cameras, just turn on the running lights on the tow vehicle. The power plug wires are red for positive and black for negative. Most RVs (but not all) use black for positive and white for negative (similar to home wiring). Use a test light or multi tester to go from a known ground like the frame, and see which wire on the running light is positive.
Thank you Mike. I found in the fine print, that Amtifo will send you one accessory free of charge, with proof of purchase. License plate camera was one, and yes, it is wireless (except power:). Thanks again
I don't think so, I never checked. Once I set the camera the way I like, I pretty much never touch the buttons so I'm not sure if being backlit would be helpful.
This Updated Video was very helpful for the new updated Camera. The old one had you stripping wires to install
Excellent video!
Thanks! I hope it helps show how easy it is to install.
How do you get the rubber “washer” that is on the camera wire through the bracket hole? Your video shows it already inserted.

@@michaelparks3106 thank you. I’ll try again. I’m worried about moisture, but the AMTIFO cover to the Furrion mount isn’t going to be sealed either.

After trying for over half hour, the rubber grommet broke up and I gave up on it. Will use some sealant instead.
I also bought a couple cameras for side views of the RV. And idea how to wire them for power?

@@michaelparks3106 thanks for the extra info! great vid - exactly what I was looking for.
@@cmart8156 Thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful. As I've always said "Advice is free and worth what you paid for it"
Can I get a link to the cameras you got? I want to add more to mine.
I cannot find info saying if the license plate camera is wireless also? I don’t see blue tooth antenna?
Yes, the license plate camera is wireless also. The antenna is a short wire that I tucked behind the license plate.

Are the buttons backlit?
