  • Extremely large Aurora Australis display taken from the Canterbury University, Mt John Observatory - on Mt John, Tekapo New Zealand. This is the biggest display that I have personally seen - at many times you could see activity looking north and above you, clearly you could see colour by eye and you didn't a torch to walk around as there was plenty of light - extremely lucky to see.
    Exposures were 4 seconds (1 second gap) ISO 6400 f/2.8, in total 8639 images were used to make this animation
