- In this adventure I'm just outside Cooke City Montana and Yellowstone National Park. The biggest surprise for me was that it was snowing, in August! This is a rocky high elevation trail with lots of rocks and lakes.
Does my heart good to just see you out there doin' IT!!!
"... between a rock and more rocks" 😂
Thanks man, planning a climb out in this area and you shooting this video is SO helpful. Keep at it!
Thank you for adding another trail on my list!
Beautiful footage.
Wow, so many lakes. Loved seeing the snow falls during this adventure! Great drone/video work! Keep them coming. Cheers! -Chris
Appreciate your video in that you offer locations with your adventures. We have a FJ 2009, we are slowly adding to...we were watching another video adventures, but one in particular never, ever offers his locations. We became so frustrated we no longer view his sight. Agree appreciate that you offer your locations along with your adventures.
I want to see more FJ's out on the trails. I want to give as much info as possible! If you ever need clarification on locations let me know!
Wow, you were serious when you said it was snowing the whole trail. Gorgeous!
beautiful trail
Morning Ken, amazing videograpy not sure it's a word. The snow added a dramatic flare to the amazing mountains and lakes. This looked like a pretty docile trail at least for you. I'm sure you and your loyal steed makes it look that way!! Keep FJing 😁👍
Thanks! You are very kind in your evaluation of my videography. 😉 It wasn't a terribly difficult trail, definitely some spots that were rough.
Bucket list trail, thanks for taking the time to film it! Hope to knock it out next summer in the Gladiator. Love the FJ!
It's a great one! Don't miss the Morrison while you're there!
@@offroadhub.official Copy that! I worked in Yellowstone for a season and started this trail back when I had my wrangler but we got snowed out haha
Another great video, thanks! And thank goodness there were only grizzly bears and no black bears. Haha.
That looks like my kind of trail.
A: It has a destination. for some reason I need a destination.
B: Just rough enough to be fun but driven carefully no vehicle damage.
C: Oh my! Those lakes are awesome and I bet they are filled with fish.
And yes we all need to obey and cooperate when we come to a road closure or more will be closed to vehicular traffic.
I had the exact same thoughts. I like having a destination, and challenge without too much actual danger. Thanks for watching!
You're actually lucky to have caught Fall. Summer ended there in late July........
The places you go by yourself are impressive. I would be afraid of breaking something and not being able to get out.
I go very prepared. I bring lots of parts and tools, camping gear, food and water.
@@offroadhub.official I have spent a lot of time in the backcountry but it is usually on foot or on quads with someone else along in case I break down. I’ve only had to hike out once and phone a friend, before cell phones. My hats off to ya. Love the videos, we have an FJ and are hoping to find some good spots in MT to explore this year.
@@reload280 Montana has some really beautiful places!
Caught between a rock and a hard place.
Beautiful Country - i live in the wrong state for that type of scenery (Florida).
Did you ever find out what the flat area with the rocks is?
I have to assume that water collects there. I can't imagine anything else.
Very nice trip...I'm assuming you needed lockers on after Star Lake right?
Could definitely do it without lockers. At least when I was there.
How gnarly was the trail to round lake? I want to take my stock ram 2500 in there to go fish it.
@@406manbearpig450 I think you'll be ok!
Trying to get to round lake in July to do some hiking. Would a stock 4runner with steel skid plates make it there or is the trail a bit too technical?
If the trail hasn't changed much, yes you should be ok!
Thanks for the quick reply!
I know this was 2.5 years ago, but do you remember roughly how long it took?
A few hours as I recall.
Can you camp on that end spot there?
Yes you could dispersed camp there!
your left tail light is out
Indeed. I'll change it one of these days.
@@offroadhub.official BTW I should have said this in my comment. I was trying to be helpful. I appreciate you taking the time, effort, and cost of taking these trips and putting them on film for all of us to enjoy!
@@Donkarnage223 it's my pleasure. It is also truly a lot of work. Thank you for your support!
i saw a deer,,theres no black bears,,just brown bears,,,,,,,&,,,,b/foots......so,,should be o.k.........
Sasquatch has never killed anyone! 😄
How to shut it off because of the chipmunk music
Chipmunk music! 😄 That's a new one.
