[Introducing Project]
'DMM(Discovering the Magical Moments)' is a experimental performance project for an online environment in line with the new normal era. The performance of magic, circus, play, dance, mime, and physical drama is combined with music and humanities to work on a video-based work, and we will continue to explore the possibilities and directions of performance contents through various artistic expressions and creations that can be tried online, away from existing live performances.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us…“
Like Charles Dickens's expression of the industrial era, the post-industrial era resembles the modern era in which modern people live in many ways, and through Scrooge and four ghosts, we want to share the opportunity to think about various problems by interconnecting these two eras. We attempted to capture time, place, situation, and even narrative through music, and newly interpreted ghosts in novels using past techniques such as Greek chorus (a technique used at ancient Greek, that seems to imply what will happen in the future with songs and movements instead of the transition of the curtain). The entire work was an experimental work to study a new stage language rather than a work with completeness.
[How to appreciate this]
While preparing for this work, the entire process was conducted in the same way as a workshop in which study and research experiment were conducted at the same time. Even when entering the field, performers, directors, and technical teams tried various things together on filming, recording, performing, choreography, and movement composition to experiment whith and modify expressions and directions more suitable for online media and areas to be emphasized. The work is similar to the novel, and is divided into 21 scenes with five contents: the narrative before the appearance of Jacob Marley's ghost, the ghost of the past, the ghost of the present, the ghost of the future, and the finale.
In this work, various music genres such classical music, hip-hop, modern and traditional music are mixed. Combining the collaboration of gayaguem and piano, Greek chorus, hip-hop, and the others, we explored new contact points with mime, media mapping, magic, circus, and dance. We recognize it as an important step to go further, rather than a finished work.
