omg none of my friends believe when i tell them there's no such thing as bad hair!! literally tell them it's about how well you take care of your hair but they done believe me. They always wish they had my hair & I'm like girllll if you take care of yours it'll be just as nice!
I love your curls! Tip for the dark marks, coming from an acne prone/ dark mark prone person, i use the st. ives blemish scrub to wash my face, tone with aloe vera gel, and moisturize with Raw African Shea Butter...seriously never had clear skin in my 23 years until i tried it this way...good luck :)
girl nadinola helped me back in the day with dark marks!!! but it does contain a high amount (3%) of the ingredient that helps lighten the marks so just don't over use it if you try it! Also They stopped selling it in stores but some beuaty supplys carry it! its better to use every night so that the sun doesnt cause any interference with the product.
Mixed is not just black mixed with white. Mixed just means a mixture of different racial groups. Plus you can be mixed from way farther back along your lineage than you aware of. Whether mixed or straight (whatever race) we are all God's creation and Jesus loves us all. 😊
You are so right about letting your hair have a break. I have been heat free for three years and my hair went from shoulder to tailbone length! Also, rosehip oil for dark marks works wonders! Try it out!
I'm going into my junior year of high school and I've been putting heat on my hair for .. wait for it ... almost my whole life :/ i know that's bad. But now I'm giving my curls their time to shine and I haven't straightened my hair for like a whole month but for the first week I want to have it straightened. I hope one day my curls come close to something like yours, I even want your color LOL. But you're so pretty and great vid!!
Spiffy Syd me too! i have had a relaxer since i was 5! i just stopped getting them two years ago and this is my first time (literally today) wearing it natural. i'm already loving it
You are so pretty and you remind me of Beyonce, but that is not why I consider you one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I like you because you are so real like you don't try to make your videos so perfect. You are the best lol. The last part when you showed those pictures and you played that music had me dying.
Ahhhh I just subscribed girl! I'm currently trying to train my curls too because the back/middle is a frizz bucket. I'm getting a deva cut soon and from there I'll be trying your methods. Thanks love
African black soap is perfect for discoloration in skin, takes about 3 weeks to see a big difference and once you wash your face with that apply a moisturizing light oil like coconut oil and those dark marks will fade dramatically... Thanks for the tips btw your gorgeous already girl !
I will definitely try this, is it only for face?, as I have discoloration from picking at scars/cuts on back/stomach region? do you use a specific African Black soap , tysm!!
+Elizabeth Lizzy you can use on face as well as body , it's on Amazon for 6 bucks and its sole purpose is to fade discoloration.. The brand is 100% African black soap and it's in a plastic container with black label 😁😁
For dark marks, find a face wash with glycolic alcohol and it'll make the marks basically peel off of your face, make sure you moisturize after using it though
I just had to subscribe to your channel because you are funny and gave some good tips. Our hair texture is about the same and a lot of the tips you gave are the exact same things that I do and they work for me. The Cream of Nature Argon Oil brand DOES NOT work for me and it hurt my feelings sooo bad because I spent my hard earned coins hunni lol, but it's ok. I think I found the product for me!! I LOVE the African Pride leave in conditioner that comes in the big yellow and orange jar. My hair LOVES that stuff and the Nairobi Setting Lotion to set my curls and keep the frizz away! Love LOVE love!!! Anyways, thanks for the tips. I love your curls and I'll be watching for more videos!!
Love the make up look! Beautiful, healthy hair!! Great curly hair routine. I have 3c hair, Kayla, and I have yet to do a successful wash & go. Running my fingers through my hair isn't good for me. I will have to try a paddle brush to comb product through my natural hair. I can relate about that wet bun not drying. Great advice. Thanks!
I feel like I'm watching myself. Especially everything you said starting at "I'm not mixed". We have the exact same texture and hair pattern. I found your page looking for natural makeup ideas.
Beautiful curls! Your curl pattern is very similar to mine! Creme of nature products are very good... I like it and Lotta body line of products works well for me also. Thanks for sharing! 😁
ahhh your curls so beautiful. I have curls like that in the back but the front has a looser curl pattern that just does whatever it wants. thanks for this video!!
I just suscribe to your channel. I love your curls. its the first time I see a type of curls so like mine. I write from Spain. I started my journey a year ago. I'll keep watching for more advices.
Ahhh your curls are sooo nice! Wish mine would do that. I just started doing mine in the shower now. I section my hair, condition, detangle & then rinse the shower & apply whatever curl defining product while combing through it & it defines my curls so much better like you said, but when it fully dries it practically turns back into an afro and there's no running my fingers or comb through unless it's wet & it makes me sad sometimes.
Yes, I love your curls Kayla! Congrats on your new job! Wow, I have never trie to Creme of Nature products for curly hair. This is a first time seeing a video using this product line. Nice....and Eco styler is my fav! :-) #CremeofNature #EcoStyler #IBreatheCurlz
Girl.. You are so bomb!! I'm sitting up here about to watch all your videos Lol!! I LOVE your curls.. so pretty!! Thanks for the tips.. I REALLY want to go natural so this video was super helpful! Thanks for sharing =)
I went one year without straightening my hair. I had been transitioning for about a year which is why I cut out the heat. The last time I did straighten was around May and honestly, I wondered why I even did. My curls that grew in didn't have like, crazy damage but some was noticeable, but overall looked in good shape. After seeing the bit of damage (barely any) that happened, I don't even wanna look at a straightener anymore. Idek where mine is at the moment but I hope it stays there cuz I don't need you anymore cuz I cant wait to be natural ^-^
Finally! I found someone with the same hair type and texture like mines lol...your curls came out beautiful! I am new to being natural, would you recommend any tips for training my hair and curls in the winter?
Thanks to you and my daughters who told me that relaxers, flat irons, and some products that are bad for your hair. I felt that somethings that I was the only one with curly natural hair.
hey Kayla, use nadinola skin cream for the dark marks at Walmart. just rub it in your face and then use a qtip and dab it on each mark it will be gone in no time.
Try using a rotating facial brush and Use African black soap on your face. Chime Edwards (Hair Crush) has a great video on how she cleared her dark marks. Her skin looks amazing now.
Kayla Price one thing with the CES I notice is you only need a little and it has to be applied to soaking wet hair I actually prefer Camille Rose Naturals Fresh Curl with the Curlmaker - super hydrated and curly !
I'm currently attending school and I have hair exactly like yours. Teachers and other kids are always asking me if my hair is real, how I have hair like that even though I'm white, why my hair is the way it is, and they always want to touch it or they just touch it without my permission. Do you have any advice on how to tell people to stop touching your hair? It's so annoying when I come to class with my hair all fixed up and some random person just comes up to me and runs their hands through my hair!
Im getting a mix of beyonce and jurnee smollett lol but i love this video. I feel alot of us naturals went through middle school phase of straightening our hair like every other day😭
Hey Kayla. I'm so glad you did this video. I'm trying to get my natural curl pattern back. I have been doing this since last summer. Thank you so much for these tips. My curls are tight so I just do protective styles. But I wanted to ask, are your curl tight and when you wash and brush it out, do it stretch? Because my curls are similar to you're just a lil when stretched out.
I feel your pain when it comes to the dark spots. I've struggled for years to get rid of mine, and mine are worse than yours. In addition to your regular skin products just start using a derma roller. I can tell you from experience that it literally changes everything. It allows the products to penetrate deeper into your skin, stimulating collagen reproduction. It speeds up the healing process so well, I've only been using it for about one month and my face has clear up so much. You can do your research on it, but I just thought I'd make a suggestion.
I hate when people assume black people cant have a softer texture of hair, like we all have to have type 4 hair 😒 NO! Our variety is endless❤️
alkelly08 right! we got just as much variety as whites
Blacks have lineage or ancestral mixing.
She CLEARLY says in the video that she isn't mixed, she's black.
I have 4a/b hair and my hair is EXTREMELY soft. Everytime someone touches it, they always tell me my hair is soft🤷 Let's not say 4 type hair is hard🤦
@@jazs2300 you don't know your race then. If you stand out in Africa, you are mixed
omg none of my friends believe when i tell them there's no such thing as bad hair!! literally tell them it's about how well you take care of your hair but they done believe me. They always wish they had my hair & I'm like girllll if you take care of yours it'll be just as nice!

Thank you soooo much!
+Kayla Price yes the aloe Vera gel is so good on your dark marks
Do you use raw aloe vera gel from a plant?
+Froncessca Curry well it does come from the plant but you can buy it online or like in a supermarket
+Glacii Jpg yeah that's what I meant I know some people use store bought in a container and some will just snap the plant in half
Girl you a sound a bit like Beyoncé it's so weird.
she does and she favor karrueche to me
When she said "that toothbrush is gon get us together" she did sound just like her.
+imgrownforreal ikr
yes
Right I thought I was the only one 😂
Girl.. let me go ahead and hit that subscribe button. I follow a lot of natural girls but for some reason I felt like I was listening to my big sister
Omg you sound like Beyonce
I'm saying the same thing to myself while watching this 😂 I love it!
you do your hair very similar to me! I get great results, too :) I have a tighter curl pattern. brushing in shower is a must!
About to go buy everything you used like now. Your curls look really soft with no crunch. awesome.
Yourebasicbye same
Not to offend but I like curly hair crunchy cause once you break the seal it gets soft and volumous
girl nadinola helped me back in the day with dark marks!!! but it does contain a high amount (3%) of the ingredient that helps lighten the marks so just don't over use it if you try it! Also They stopped selling it in stores but some beuaty supplys carry it! its better to use every night so that the sun doesnt cause any interference with the product.
The highlights in your hair are really nice!
Can you do a make up tutorial on this look you have the perfect summer glow girl !!
Mixed is not just black mixed with white. Mixed just means a mixture of different racial groups. Plus you can be mixed from way farther back along your lineage than you aware of. Whether mixed or straight (whatever race) we are all God's creation and Jesus loves us all. 😊
+Ja Comments How do you know she is mixed from wayyyyyy back then. And blacks outside of Ethiopia have hair like hers
She looks black to me
Ja Comments So by you're logic, all black people in America are mixed. Even the ones with the dark skin or extremely kinky hair?
+Ja Comments you sound dumb
most African Americans have at least 20% of European ancestry. that is a fact. a good number of somali and ethiopian people are also mixed race
oh my god, you have my exact curl pattern right down to dryer, frizzier hair in the back. even the same lengths in front and back. yours looks great!
Dude you went to my high school! Fucking rad here I am scrolling through RUclips and well you're here 😉
Love yours curls ❤️ I'm happy you said you are fully vocal because u can't believe some ppl think black wines can't have curls or even looser curls
You are so right about letting your hair have a break. I have been heat free for three years and my hair went from shoulder to tailbone length! Also, rosehip oil for dark marks works wonders! Try it out!

I just subscribed to you..the brush is the truth. I just started brushing my curls in the shower and oh my what a difference!
i clicked on this cuz u r pretty af!
I can so relate to you when you say that brushing your hair with a paddle brush to make it more curly.
i have found my hair twin. for real. People always say that, but my hair is so much like yours.
I don't use the pudding but the styling mousse is my staple. It really makes your hair soft. Love the colors in your hair.
You are so freaking gorgeous.
ALOE VERA GEL FOR DARK MARKS GIRL. It's a miracle worker. I use it for my edges too - it's not as strong as Eco styler but less harsh
You are so pretty and you remind me of Beyonce, but that is not why I consider you one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I like you because you are so real like you don't try to make your videos so perfect. You are the best lol. The last part when you showed those pictures and you played that music had me dying.
You are super pretty! I have naturally curly hair too. I need to get one of those brushes!
Ahhhh I just subscribed girl! I'm currently trying to train my curls too because the back/middle is a frizz bucket. I'm getting a deva cut soon and from there I'll be trying your methods. Thanks love

Damn, all of these Kayla's are slayin' lately! LOLLLL.
Your skin is flawless!!!
Pretty hair and love the tips! Lol your accent is so cute and country :)

You sound like a mixture of Beyonce, Lala Anthony and Laila Ali.
Watching this video for daughter's hair. About to try it out. Thank you this was very informal❤❤
Love the make up look! Beautiful, healthy hair!! Great curly hair routine. I have 3c hair, Kayla, and I have yet to do a successful wash & go. Running my fingers through my hair isn't good for me. You are soooo freakin pretty !!!! and finally someone that always uses the same brush to detangle their hair
I just suscribe to your channel.

Final someone who's aware of Kelela!
RIGHT! I love her so much.

exfoliating is a major key to getting rid of your dark spots. new subbie, nice video!
Literally LOVED this!!!!!! But I'm so impatient with my hair 😭☹️️
Your haircut is everything!
hey Kayla, use nadinola skin cream for the dark marks at Walmart. just rub it in your face and then use a qtip and dab it on each mark it will be gone in no time.
Your skin is glowing what skin products do u use?❣😩
Your eyes are pretty!!!!😍😍😍😍
Try using a rotating facial brush and Use African black soap on your face. Chime Edwards (Hair Crush) has a great video on how she cleared her dark marks. Her skin looks amazing now.
You should try the Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie, it has better ingredients and it moisturizes with a light hold 😊
Yes I'm about to do a review for that stuff omg my curls.... Are poppin ' the SM is like the only thing I found that was the best for my hair.
I actually did try it! And I didn't really care for it it made my hair sticky and heavy :/ but thank you so much for your suggestion!
+Kayla Price I didn't like the shea moisture either I thought it dried my hair out.
Kayla Price one thing with the CES I notice is you only need a little and it has to be applied to soaking wet hair
I actually prefer Camille Rose Naturals Fresh Curl with the Curlmaker - super hydrated and curly !
MiVidaBellisima that doesn't work on my hair but i use it anyway just in case 😂
I'm currently attending school and I have hair exactly like yours. FoxArt just ask them to stop and ask permission to touch first . You are not a zoo animal
Sooooo glad I saw your video ! I’m so lazy when it comes to my hair I’m working on it tho but I’m gonna try these !
Nice video! You got them baby hairs on fleek lol
Im getting a mix of beyonce and jurnee smollett lol but i love this video. I feel alot of us naturals went through middle school phase of straightening our hair like every other day😭
The middle/back of my hair is the saaaame way lol it's the tightest, most dry, and the shortest. I guess because I sleep on that part the most
Your hair is lovely! and don't worry about hyper pigmentation. Just stay with your skin care routine, your skin is super pretty. Those will fade.
I REMEMBER THIS SONG OMG THANK YOU
You should make a video on Beauty Tips or a Story Time!
Girl ur still pretty w/o makeup😍😍💯
you should try to put Eco styler gel on the section in the back that gets frizzier
Haven't straightened my hair since last November .... I'm intrigued to see how it looks

I feel your pain when it comes to the dark spots. I've struggled for years to get rid of mine, and mine are worse than yours.
