During my compulsory military service in the german Bundeswehr in '84-'85 on my grenadier tank group the driver of the Marder tank was from Büdingen..... there he was heavily involved in the rc- historical model ship club....which lent all the models of the movie "Das Boot" to the bavarian located studios for filming.... sadly most of the models were damaged at the end of filming abd returned in this condition.... so much so....that he never would do a thing like that ever again.... I dearly hope Mr. Bruce Crompton will have his complete collection of WW2 artifacts returned in proper condition....
Hitlers celldoor……….😂😂😂😂…it’s not even anywhere NEAR that celldoor and “prototype tanks” 😂😂😂😂😂…..and Hitler’s car …it’s getting better by the minute 😂😂😂😂
To be fair some of these items were not sold, he appeared on salvage hunters fairly recently and a flak gun he had been trying to sell had was still there, with the sights he bought on the show attached, you gotta remember this stuff is rare AND expensive so if someone had one there is no guarantee you can shift it immediately
Although Hitler was Austrian he couldn´t be deported back as he was wanted for being a deserter or Dodging the Draft there. He went to Munich instead and wrote a letter to Ludwig the 3rd of Bavaria and asked to join his Army, he was a front runner in a Signals Regiment, he never talked about his EK1, extremely rare for a NCO and it is thought it was obtained through blackmail. If he was sent back to Austria he faced jail so was allowed to stay in Bavaria, crazy fact, The Wittelsbach Royal Family were anti Hitler and wanted the Monarchy back so they could deport Hitler, the USA who had an Army of Occupation there after WW1 flatly refused the Monarchy returning in Bavaria, you know the rest of the story! Great Series! PS Landsberg is still a Prison, Johnny Cash did his National Service there and after the War many Nazi War Criminals were executed there, by the ex Nazi Executioner Johann Reichert who was often greated by his victims as he was well known in Germany! He executed over 3,000 victims!

You are havin a Giraffe,
Fury
So what movie did these vehicles appear in?
He mentioned a Tank Commander behind enemy lines. Possibly Fury. I don't know how old this episode is though.
Fury. Owen Thornton worked on that film, in 2014, when this season aired.
Fun fact: Bruce also supplied some vehicles and kit for Saving private Ryan back in the 1990's.
Fury, Their vehicles have also appeared in Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan.
