Such an original comment and idea, no one has ever thought anything like this. You deserve every last like, as well as my next 18 paychecks and my moms crotch
It’s because it’s a completely accurate parody. Whereas his MC Vagina persona intentionally sounds robotic and looks lame, this apes the lighting, style, dance choreography, sound, lighting and etc...
Firstly, an anger making me want to smash the busses radio in. Then, assuming I manage to not do that, an urge to sing very loudly, every good song I know the lyrics too. Assuming I do not carry this through, I resign myself to blocking my ears subtly as possible, and feel sick, in the stomach, and weird as it is, the face. Like i'm gonna puke. Haven't yet though. Have I got that lethal good music taste disease?
Jon Lajoie is a genius. But what I probably love the most is what an amazing actor he is. I think that it can be seen really good in this video. You have 5 characters that have their unique way of talking and especially moving, and even in the choreography you can tell that every character is dancing in his unique way and stays in his role, even though the choreography is synchron. His acting talent is so incredible and impressive and it is a pleasure to watch and laugh
Yeah I'm quite sure many people who don't understand English would actually unironically buy his album if they heard this _on the radio_ for long enough 😅
Gotta love how he got all the stereotypes down perfectly. I mean from left to right you got The Punk, The Guy with a Child-Like Nature, The Cool Leader, The Wannabe Rebel, and The Passionate, Androgynous Bi Guy. Perfectly executed.
***** I guess it depends on your definition of boy band. If your using this parody as a template The Beatles were in NO WAY a boy band. No prancing around, just basically good music, unlike boy bands. So no , you're wrong.
Dave Rhodes Beatlemania is comparable to the kind of reaction teenage girls have nowadays and recently for One Direction, Take That, Westlife, Nsync and other boybands. The Beatles went on to become a lot more than any boyband of course and are a legendary music act which no boyband will ever be. But like boybands, the Beatles early songs were very breezy, poppy songs so there are some similarities between them and boybands.
Its all very dependent on the circumstances provided by your own definition of "boy band" I can see how in some ways the beatles could be discussed as one, but in my opinion I think I am being a little more specific on my definition
I used to be an 11-years-old girl from Central Europe who was totally in love with Jon's comedy. The highlight of my week were the FCE preparation classes where I met my crush. We never dared to ask each other out but we always came 30 minutes before lectures so we could sit together in the corner, and watch Jon Lajoie's videos. We also talked on Facebook, and discussed possible translations of his work, haha. I'm happy that I have been brought back here after so many years.
Now he makes serious music. He goes by the name "Wolfie's Just Fine" but I sure do miss him just fucking around and making fun of everything around him.
The production quality of this masterpiece is just insane for a YT comedy song! Not to mention the spot on lyrics! :) This just ages like an old wine...
