Cooper ran the length of a runway, through a jungle, in less time than a plane could do it in a field.

He’s been through a whole lot of scenarios to make him a professional but I bet none of them involved a fucking dinosaur super predator mutant 😂
Have the equivalent of a 20 ft tall walking crocodile chasing after you, and I’m pretty sure you’d panic too.
Cooper had never dealt with dinosaurs before. He was badly injured and terrified for his life. Any professional in his situation would have cracked under stress, pain, and fear. Complete terror does things to a person's psyche.

I like that even though Dr.Grant was pissed at cooper he still cared enough to want to get him out good guy
He understood the fear that he was feeling and the only thing Cooper wanted was to live.
Udeskys character is so underated... The actors performance in this scene is truly remarkable, you can actually feel the fear in him after encountering the spinosaurus yelling and pushing everyone inside the plane
I know right. Some people say Udesky abandoned Cooper but I think he knows that if they wait for them, then the Spinosaurus could kill them all regardless of the plot. That's why I like Udesky and felt sad when he got killed.
@@michaelmahabir213 I always loved this scene and the desperation of Cooper, that "stop..." has stuck with me for years and I always think back to it when I think of people getting left behind for the greater good.

The actors for all three of the mercenaries absolutely killed it I genuinely felt bad for all of them when they died, specially Nash. Really horrible way to go for him...
"Coopers a professional he can handle himself" - Udesky
*spinosaurus roar*
(Gunshots)
Really like the suspense that builds up in the dialogue scene with the people and then everything doesn't go as expected.
Sure he can. He's an idiot, not a professional in anything. Waits for a plane at literally just below takeoff speed to stop in front of him, instead of trying to hide or something since he pretty clearly did outrun the damn spino for a while. Had it not been for him, the aircraft coulda just taken off.
Not like a sane Spinosaurus (with realistic vulnerability) would cross paths with a bigass metal "bug" to collide its spine with it at that speed.
In summary, the people in this scene save for Grant are all stupid, and the scene itself is also kinda stupid.
If being a professional means being the first to die, they are fucked.

Out of all the Jurassic movies, the third one is the only one that really makes it about the dinosaurs.
All the others had to make it a controlled environment the humans are put in.
This was the only one with a direction and the dinosaurs kept stepping in.
I don't ever want to see a palm and hear "blue, blue" ever again.
That's why I like the 3rd one the best cuz it's about the dinosaurs and not the people
@@MrMonsterJamFan first one they spent too much running down a tree from a jeep. I'm going, "where are the dinosaurs?"
Then we had the kid on the electric fence and having to keep a door closed from the velociraptor. The kitchen stuff was fun, but it was all the kids.
Second one had Goldblum with that astonishing daughter-not daughter who just showed up out of nowhere. Another long drawn out scene with a broken window and a falling phone. I'm going, hello? Dinosaurs?
Third one, every time they turned around, dinosaur; plane, laboratory, trying to get through the fence and the dinosuar just ran through it, playing in the dino doo to find the phone, burning river, every time there was a dinosaur and FINALLY saw the pteradactyl.
Fourth movie; "Blue, blue" and a lot with the kids in that bubble. Finally saw a sea creature but that was very minimal. And I don't know who decided the T-Rex returning was so fantastic. Like a celebrity.
I don't remember much about the fifth one, oh, yea, they did let the dinos loose, but do we get dinosaurs in New York, worldwide? I don't know, I didn't bother seeing it. I caught on to more, "Blue, Blue" and I decided not to waste my money.
@@2up3rm4n1 Basically nailed it, 2 sucked IMO because there was basically no dinosaurs, also making the whole film about Goldblum was just terrible he's like the worst character in the original.
I've read the books though and his character is basically the authors self insert, all he does is monologue about chaos theory and other dumb philosophy stuff for pages and pages, and the second book which the second movie is technically based on is from his perspective.
I could barely get through it because it just dragged on and on, the first novel was okay if you just skim the sections Ian Malcolm is in.
@@tallesttree4863 this one was a bunch of people you couldn't like if you tried being attacked by the dinosaurs.
Sam Neill and the kid were about the only two worth carting about. But this is what a "dinosaur" movie should be. Who dies and who survives.
Just this, the plane hitting the dinosaur then crashing into the trees, as compared to the first one and that ridiculous jeep slowly making its way down the tree.
WHERE'S THE DINOSAURS?
Ah, I'm not even going to start up about it all again. I didn't even bother going to see the last Jurassic World.
Unfortunately, the third one was also the worst of the original trilogy in terms of plot, as the script for it was literally scrapped before production and had to be re-done from scratch during the film making process. There's a multitude of plot holes illogical stuff going on in the film, partly because a number of scenes were cut from it, like the scene of Cooper getting attacked by a pack of raptors early on in the film.
There is this incredible level of genius and amazingness of production in this scene if you really slow it down and watch individual components over and over again. Back in the day when I had this only to see on VHS, you couldn't hone in on the details like you can now. First off, the entire scene is so anxiety inducing, the close up angles of the plane props, the terror and impending doom that unfolds so quickly and spontaneously. Secondly, Cooper's sudden and unexpected death scene. It's nothing short of genius how they did this and shot it, and shoutout to actor John Diehl for playing it out so well. When you slow the scene down and watch how the spino is revealed, and how Cooper's brain actually takes a few milliseconds to process what he just turned left and looked at. It's like the animators took this incredible and minute detail into consideration when animating this. Which back then was only expected to be seen for 2 seconds at a time. I LOVE the fact that we can get in there and slow down these scenes now. To see the amazing level of intricacy and passion that went into making them. I am a diehard Jurassic fan since 93 when the first movie came out, and I have to say that this scene is one of my favorites. Just the pure terror they captured as well as the spino reveal coupled on top of the first very brutal death scene in the movie is just awesome. I love it and wanted to share my thoughts on it. Have a great day guys!
Well said. This scene is excellently constructed, the tension that’s immediately set and followed through on is absolutely terrific, it immediately establishes the Spinosaurus as a legitimate threat and a scary one at that. That whole bit with Cooper starting to realise he’s not getting away and the desperate tears of despair… then the immediate terror as he realises he’s about to become lunch in a second is brilliant!
It’s a shame then that the film as a whole fails to live up to the quality of the first 2 films. It’s not a bad film, but it’s not very well written, and the direction is a definite step down putting this sequence behind. It’s a 90 minute cat and mouse chase that becomes a touch formulaic and that’s somewhat annoying by the end. Every character apart from Alan and the 2 mercenaries are complete idiots and I think it would have been a much more interesting film if the parents had been established as the clear antagonists, so many ideas that could be explored there, with the son taking to Alan and ultimately rejecting his parents for their incredibly selfish actions that got many people killed despite their best intentions. It would give the film way more thematic depth… But there are some great sequences nonetheless 👍🏻
That woman and guy did a good job on making themselves become food to be eaten

Yet They didn't get eaten 🤣🤣

It's a shame we didn't get to see Isla Sorna again
We didn’t get to see enough of Isla Sorna. The third movie should have just been about the dinosaurs and the island, with Richard Attenborough narrating .
In the german dub. Cooper says: "Please take me with you." That was even more touching for me because it shows much more despair and genuine fear of him.
This movie would have been so better without that annoying Amanda.

i'm pretty sure the plane prop hitting the top sail at 2:08 would have killed the spino at some point since the spino has multiple blood vassals that run through its sail it would have bled out in a hour with that kind of damage
That particular scene confuses me even today
Who knows. Many big modern animals like whales and sharks get hit with props and heal up. But cold deep salt water is definitely different than a tropical air environment.
Because you've cloned one and performed this experiment to be "pretty sure," right?
More to the point, the pilot kept the plane on the ground long after VR and could/should have already been in the air and able to clear it easily.
Forget that, the gun shots alone would have done a number on it.
But Jurassic Park movies have a habit of forgetting guns exist or pretending the dinosaurs have Terminator levels of invincibility.
I cant think how scary that needed to be when people first seen it. Imagine in the first two movies people saw only Trex and it was the biggest carnivore then comes this moment
Billy: its tyrannosaurus rex
Alan Grant: sounds bigger
Imagine people thinking Trex is the biggest and the most dangerous carnivore and then Alan says its something bigger. I would be terrified and surprised
"Bigger?! What could be bigger than a trex?!"

Thought the same thing. Must’ve been a sidearm
I don't know what's that? But I think the director wanted to make him reload faster to make it sound like he was really in danger and shocked, distressed, panicked or something like running away from something. And, it's also a sign that the bullet is ineffective. Another thing is because it would sound awkward waiting for another sound with the music playing in the background.
@@rovertex4139 doubt the bullet is ineffective it a HE ground like Nash said. If it land a hit it still cause some great damage to it target.

@@thanhhoangnguyen4754”professional hunter in wild life?” You’re joking, right? Look where they landed. The “wildlife” there could probably tank these rounds like nothing.
@@thanhhoangnguyen4754 well i think there's an interview with the director saying that there was supposed to be a scene where we see a spino family, and the mercenaries end up killing the baby spino (to expalin why there were 2 shots but no visible scars on the spino). the parent spino is following the humans to kill them for killing their baby (revenge type of deal). but with them writing the script as they were filming and probably thinking it was too close to the plot of the second movie, they scrapped the idea/scene. but tbh, the Jarassic Park franchised as a whole is littered with plot hole and continuity errors. ended up having to do a whole ass assignment on it in school on just the 1st movie 😩. so i'm not surprised that they didn't really seem to care about continuity in this movie either lol

This plane woud be in way worse shape than that if it crashed in a forest. Really it'd be a giiant fireball and they'd all have died since the fuselage would have ignited.
I love this movie it was pretty good
For those wondering how they didn't kill the Spino. Apparently there was concept art that depicted the mercs stumbling onto a Spinosaurus nest. Cooper was attacked by a baby Spino, and judging by how many shots were fired...The other 2 injured the juvenile, and angered the mother, causing them to leave Cooper behind. Cooper then finished off the baby, enraging the mother furthermore. Cooper then took off realizing the odds were not in his favor, and tried to make it back to the plane. Then...This happens.
This explains a lot, we seen the rifle cooper used is capable of destroying aircrafts. So it should of killed the Spino if they stumbled onto it first. But throw the Spino nest in there, and it makes a makes sense. It also explains why the Spinosaurus is so hellbent on hunting the humans. If there wasn't a nest, why would it hunt these rather small insignificant meals, when there are much larger prey. Hell the T-Rex could of fed it for quite some time. But having it be a vengeful mother makes a lot of sense now.

What was the point of this comment? To write subtitles for people who don’t know how to put them on?
@@Julius11111 It was just a random comment
@@Julius11111 It was for people to leave their comments on that part of the movie. Are you really that clueless?

Rating the loudness they make:
Copper 1
Amanda 11

Spino 47
