I can’t wait for Meg to release, its concept art is very cool and reminiscent of its living counterparts (perentie’s and Komodo dragons), the venom seems really cool and unique
I find it kind of weird that Megalania is always lumped in with Mezasoic creatures when it lived so recently ago that another species of human interacted with it which happen to be the irl Hobbits, which makes its size even more horrifying as they were only 3 feet tall 😬
Im looking more forward to meg than rex, thing looks so sexy and the playstyle would be so fun, wanna swim a bit? No problem, wanna climb a little tree? Up ya go, wanna lurch around like a creepy brute snake with legs? Im your guy. And thats not even considering the potential experience, like snakes, monitors see on the infer-red spectrum, want to feel like the Predator? Here ya go. Agh i just cant wait, i really hope they embrace it. That neck of glory.
Funny how people seem to think model reveal means literally anything. They remade spino from the ground, showcased its model, completed skin, animations and sounds good 4 years ago and that boy hasn't even been on the "roadmap" at any point. Rex was remade and showcased, not getting added. Allo. Sucho and bary. Have you not learned anything? About how these devs spend their time making whatever the hell Dondi happens to vibe with that week, instead of having a structured plan and sticking to it? The whole reason the roadmap is such a joke is because they keep changing it all the time, and there is no end. That's not a roadmap. That's a line drawn in the sand. Yet somehow people still fall for it.
The isle isn’t ready for the spino yet it’s mostly small creatures that wouldn’t even support its diet unless it was constantly eating fish which wouldn’t be fun the t.rex was shown relatively recently and isn’t in the game for the same reason the dibble is about to be released and the so is the Maia which can then support the diets of these bigger carnivores
Can't wait for Meg to be playable, currently i play mostly Herra because of the easy escape and the sweet sweet ambush. Meg vonna be fun with all the different terrain options to move around.
Can you do a video on improving gathering and fishing in monster hunter? Those 2 mechanics have been part of the game since the start, but they have always been garbage.
Megalania looks actually good here but Camara is a letdown for me at leasy when it comes to its head it just feels off and nothing like the real animal in my opinion and am not saying it needed to be accurate but I really wish it looked closer to the real animal than what we got. Overall yet anoyher great video from you king and hope you keep up the great work.
Mannn i want The Isle to come to console 😭. I like Path and all but they prove time and time again they don't like Meg and keep giving it debuffs. Path venom doesn't even do what it's meant to 90% of the time.
Same, as someone who mained Allo in Legacy I hope it gets revealed in the next living roadmap vid. Because it's pretty much around the perfect time for them to reveal Allo, because after Dibble and Maia are out there will be a lot of medium size herbivores and it will be the perfect time to relase a carnivore the size of Allo.
@@alunaticwithashotgun9840 In the dibble cam video at the end of it you an unknown dinosaur comes and destroys the camera, but if you look closely at the shadow it's the shadow of an Allo
@@iAzwrath Yea I think it is an Allo aswell, people say T.Rex or Alberto but there is no reason to have a "Rex reveal" like that and the shadow doesn't look like Alberto at all, it clearly has the crest and the general skull shape of Allo along with the arms and that's why I expect to see Allo on the next living roadmap video.
While editing my meg video I realized just how much I'm going to love it. The cama remodel looks utterly fantastic as well. Consider me cautiously hyped.
If they make a megalania, the NEED to give it a tail attack. All monitors use their tails. ESPECIALLY larger varanids. Idk why they took the tail attack away in pot but it's ridiculous to not give a monitor it's most iconic weapon.
Meg needs a longer neck. I don't know why they keep giving carnivores short spine syndrome in their redesigns? They did the same for Alberta and Acro, just looks kinda silly, proportionally. I am excited for these two, however. It remains to be seen how viable they'll be.
I really hope that I can change the living environment of the crocodile, the AI can't find it at all, I didn't find a fish for 5 minutes, there is no AI, can you really adjust it, and those trees in the swamp are always stuck, they can't move at all, and there are many problems with the terrain of the whole map
I would choose megalania over Cama ANY day. Cama is just too legacy ish but megalania will be a big and funner upgrade to the game *not saying that legacy and cama are bad just saying that Megalania will imo be more fun*
I look forward to megalania despite my complaining about some aspects of the isle. Always a very interesting addition to a game and being one of the few creatures that can fully take advantage of tracking due to the increased bleed from its bite can make it a more unique playable gameplay wise. We dont really have any persistence hunters in the game that are actually built like a persistence hunter (high endurance/lower speed/better tracking), i dont include cera since there isnt any buff to tracking with it like increased bleeding and it’s tracking capabilities are pretty much the same as everything else. When cera came out i was almost sure it’s gameplay would be like a komodo dragon’s hunting strategy, but tracking anything is pretty difficult due to the amount of foliage and mountainous, changing terrain. Looking forward to megalania
I do love the idea of dinosaurs with snapping turtle skin. Just some gnarly tree bark looking scales, it’s pretty cool to imagine a Spinosaurus like this.
That would be very awkward to do the isle is an island map with rivers and the oceans are basically map borders.a fully aquatic prehistoric creature wouldn’t fit on the isles water systems unless they made an aquatic specific map which is a waste of time when they could be focused on the main selling point of their game
If people want an original design for Megalania, they’re gonna have to get overly creative and start well getting further away from how it actually is the reason so all Mulan designs look so similar because it’s just a giant lizard specifically a giant Komodo dragon so it’s just going to look like a giant Komodo dragon people might be able to try some things like maybe give it a different pattern to make it slimmer or thicker than it should actually be maybe give it some ostial plates give it something that makes it look a bit scarier or in more cases more epic Always want something new with lizards their design basically never changed. There are a few outliers like the legless lizard but beyond that lizards are just going to look quite similar so may have a longer neck some longer some bigger smaller. The list goes on really the most different someone could give me is by giving it some sort of flake sale on its back that’s low kinda like what some people imagined acro to have or they’re just gonna have to deal with the fact that it’s a lizard a very big lizard a very intimidating lizard big ass lizard nonetheless they could give it. Maybe I don’t know what those cool neck sails like anoles have or maybe make it brightly colored to mark its venomous nature but beyond that they’re not gonna get much difference in its design people really just gotta start accepting that they can’t always get bad ass crazy looking animal designs, and that sometimes if they want realism, they’re gonna have to sacrifice the cool, look in some cases looks like a dangerous creature because it’s a dangerous predator like a monitor lizard My specific note is would probably have some form of bleed resistance because modern lizards have scales that are basically miniature Auster so not high amount of resistance but enough the bleed affect itself would be less effective against the megalania also since mother lizards and lizards in general are known to have their various uses for their tails. I would imagine that megalomania probably has a tail flap attack that might be able to deal small amounts of fracture to larger creatures if it’s slap something like a dry or a Utah that creatures gonna have a hard time getting away from a 20 foot long supposedly some estimates put it at a bit bigger that probably is able to move pretty quickly when it’s sprints for short amount of time like most lizards. I would also imagine that maybe millennia might be able to dig its own or at least be able to dig up entrances plus it’s women’s not anything new we see many species of lizards, including or lizards ones that aren’t really supposed to be good in still but still are because they are all monitor lizards that just my thoughts on the giant death lizard my speech to text feature is not letting me see the creatures actual name because I guess it’s stupid the AI not the creature
camara was going to be one of those plyables I wasn't going to play because of how ugly the model was for me, but with this new one I'm 100% playing it
I love the camarasaurus redesign. I do not love megalania's design. Its exaggerated features keep it from feeling like a real animal in any capacity, it just looks like an evil cartoon character.
@@MrTickles445No, it's not. Camarasaurus skulls have been found, and they don't look like The Isle's Camara. The rest of the design just has more muscle and soft tissue than the old model. It's less accurate to the real animal, though not as much as some of The Isle's other designs.
I do see what people are saying about Meg's lack luster design, there are ways to make a design accurate as possible and throw in some speculative things. I would suggest adding a sail on the back tail similar to Basilisk Lizards who also have a semi-aquatic life style like The Isle's Meg. As for Camara, I really love the new redesign, I just hope it doesn't attack like shown in it's old concept art. I think Camara is one of those Sauropods that's a perfect in between and for that reason I think Camara's playstyle should basically it throwing it's body around at attackers. Things like shoulder bashes and tail whips would be perfect since it's not too big to say, phase through solid objects and it isn't too small where it needs to run from everything. I see Camara less of an anti-ankle bitter and more of a gtfo of my way creature. All and all I can't complain too much beyond those creative differences.
The only problem I see is that the mega isn’t a semi-aquatic it’s a land creature that can swim better than other land creatures I think they should have kept the thick hump as to show that these dinosaurs which are presumed to have been brought back by humans to be imperfect
