The world at large can't appreciate her based on its lack of sensitivity, distorted values, etc. She is a queen, I love her music and vibe so much.

I’m so excited for you, Anais. I found your music as a freshman in college in 2012. It was the most meaningful thing to me. Four years later, as an adult in the working world-and as a voter in the presidential election-I felt so judged and alone. Sometimes I would come home from work, turn on the shower and one of your songs, and just cry. I just wanted to say that you have been a great source of inspiration for me, and I’m fortunate to have met you when you played at Old Town School of Folk. I covered a couple of your songs on my channel, too! I love the new song, and I’m really digging the Big Red Machine stuff you did. PS: please do a song with Jesca Hoop!

Maybe it’s the name but in our family we’ve been fans for years - a couple of even went to a gig of hers in Belfast and were persuaded by wine to invite her to join our branch of the wider Mitchell clan . However we were prevented - possibly also by wine - from finding her after the show, so that idea didn’t fly.
This is a really great song - one of several she’s delivered in various contexts during 2021, and promising much for the album.

I can't help but hear echoes of Leonard Cohen's sweet poetry in this song. Sure, this is a different rendering - faster certainly than he would sing it if it had come from his hand - but there is some essence, a rhythm, asked and answered. A duet for one singer. I don't know what I'm trying to say; perhaps that with every element in isolation different, there is still something in your voice here, lyric and thematic, that reminds me of him.
