Thank you for this refreshing video. I am a mother of 3, just turned 30, and have been feeling very old, tired, and overall just blah lately. Nice to know even celebrities like yourself can relate. Thanks for sharing ❤

Love that you’re covering this topic. Turning 30 soon and it has been on my mind a lot lately! Like you both said-to grow older is a privilege and a gift, I really believe in that philosophy, but still seeing and feeling your body changing can be a bit scary in moments. Our culture is so youth and surface obsessed and in the west especially we don’t value elderly people as much as in other cultures. Anyway, all that being said, here are some tips I’ve learned that I didn’t hear y’all mention:
-EWG is a great resource for anyone looking to use non-toxic products. They have an extensive database. Simply google the name of the product you’re curious about, followed by EWG review or Skin Deep EWG review, and there’s a good chance they’ve given it a rating.
-I’ve been using Biossance since it seems all their products are EWG verified. They have a Phyto-Retinol Serum that is a great, gentle alternative to traditional vitamin A retinols, which can be toxic if used too much.
-Infrared and red light therapy is really neat, like Sarah said, but Teresa-I’ve specifically read about it helping with hyper pigmentation and melasmas! Also, apparently white shiitake mushrooms help lighten dark spots. Again, Biossance (I swear I don’t work for them) has a vitamin C dark spot serum I’ve been using that has shiitake.
-I love oils but only last year found out that certain polyunsaturated oils (PURA’s) can actually age the skin more quickly because they oxidize. There are articles about this that tell you which oils to avoid. Saturated oils I’ve been sticking to that don’t oxidize much are jojoba oil, shea butter, and vegan Squalane (Biossance). These don’t clog my pores so I use them for my face. On my body I use coconut and olive oil.
-I’ve learned using too many different products at once can essentially overwhelm the skin while using products too often can make the skin dry out faster because it is being taught it doesn’t have to do its own work to produce oils since you keep supplying it with outside products. So just don’t overdo it and give your skin a break sometimes from anything if you’re the type that does products twice a day everyday (like I was!).
-The most recent thing I’ve learned is that hyaluronic acid only plumps the skin briefly but then actually dries it out in the long run. Which is annoying if true since it seems to be in so many products now.
-Teresa in the previous episode you mentioned you don’t drink much water. I know hydrating enough can help the skin so much! Luke warm lime water and coconut water are my favorites.
And lastly, my motto (I came up with;) Beautiful people think beautiful thoughts.
    Ok, cheers!
(Edit) This was a lengthy post but it was oddly so gratifying putting all this random knowledge I’ve had floating around in my head down in once place 😅. Hopefully it helps someone. I wish I had known these things earlier!

I completely feel what Teresa was feeling at the beginning of the Ep! As a 36 year old momma myself, I looked in the mirror recently and just thought, when did i start looking old?!” I’m Noticing every line and sag more and more. I do enjoy hearing about new clean product or non invasive treatments. While several of my friends have begun their Botox journeys i just don’t think it’s for me. I keep getting adds for this product called”Frownies” and would be curious to know if those work at all for lines.

I've had akne since puberty and have tried many different things, I also went to dermatologist, etc. Then I found filabre skincare sheets, which are dry sheets that you water before you use them. Therefore they don't need a lot of chemicals that make moist products last longer.
My skin reacted very well and I've had almost no skin irritations for one year.
I highly recommend trying this product, it was a gamechanger for me :)

Lol. I kinda felt the same and so insecure before, but I realized nothing beats nature..
For a simple Mum of 3 who lives in the simplest way of living with no means for any derma visit etc, I'm proudly to be a natural Asian woman, I only use Aloe veras we planted and it's definitely working so great with my skin, wrinkles hated me, acnes don't get any closer and etc.. At the age of 38 this year, my friends are so curious on what beauty regime I have, to their surprise I showed them my videos and pics putting aloes day and night.
To say the least, I don’t like make ups lol just the way I am and glad that people appreciate my skin care and thanks to nature's magic and people will say I age like a fine wine😂😂

Try Elate Beauty -- simple, vegan fromulations, with a zero/low-waste eco packaging angle. Also what sunscreens are you using? Melasma... I think azelaic acid is safe for breastfeeding, unlike vitamin A, and it is specifically good for hyperpigmentation (melasma included). But maybe good to check it out.

Melasma Treatment while BF: photofacial. you don't have to get any numbing for it. it worked well for me, but it is a laser.
