They just dropped the dance practice for this song. Also since you are a dancer, you can check out episode 2 of their behind the scenes videos about how they made this music video. Episode 2 focuses on the choreography aspect of the MV.
To anyone who doesn't know: The map shown at the last part of the video was the old map (1734 Velarde Map) of the Philippines that help the PH win against China in the territorial dispute on Scarborough Shoal.
Fact about this MV.. The Creative Director is Justin the youngest member the one with the blind fold..the first rapper is Pablo the leader and he wrote the song...and they choreographed the dance... Thank you for your precious time to check them out...
SB19 is nominee for BBMAs 2021 for Top Social Artist against BTS,BLACKPINK,SEVENTEEN and ARIANA GRANDE..very proud of them they represent our culture and even our philippine history...
Hi hello! Thanks for reacting to SB19's What? MV. They actually have a behind the scenes documentation for the making of this MV. It's called What? The Making Film and it's a 5 episode long documentation. You'll somehow get to know them better there but mostly it's about how and why they made "What?". Hope you react to their behind the scenes soon. Thanks.
Let’s support the FIRST PPOP Band to enter the Billboard Music Awards nominee this year.. We are so proud of you guys.. A’TIN TO!!! SB19 Billboard SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy band who debuted in 2018 and consists of Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin.[1] They are trained for three years by ShowBT Philippines since 2016.[2] They are also the first Filipino group in Billboard's Next Big Sound chart[3] as well as the first Southeast Asian act to enter the top 10 of Billboard Social 50 weekly and year-end charts.[4][5] SB19 promotes its music as part of Pinoy pop (P-pop) a popular sub-genre of original Filipino music.[6] #SB19forBBMAs #SB19 #SB19_STELL #SB19_KEN #SB19_PABLO #SB19_JOSH #SB19_JUSTIN #SB19WhatDancePractice #SB19What #SB19GOUP #ATINS #SB19ATIN WHATWAWAWATAWAT
I know that not everyone used to listen this kind of beat. Seems like there are 5 songs in one video but this is super cool. The production, the visuals, the choreo and most of all the lyrics. It's not just about the literal flag or country where you came from and be proud of but it talks about our individual flag as a person.. I really like this group because all there songs talk about self-love and positivity. And I hope everyone can also share good vibes and positivity in this world full of negativity.. ahw..ok!! bye!! 😁😁
Our boys is not joking when they say they will bring performances better than yesterday. They slayed it everytime. I'm so proud. Thank you so much for your reaction to them.
They are a 5 member Filipino pop boy group (Ppop not Kpop) who trained for 4 years in the Philippines under a Korean Entertainment Management called ShowBT Philippines.. THANKS A LOT!! "Always be kind and humble" - Pablo (SB19's leader) Members are: Pablo - leader/rapper/their song writer/producer Stell - main vocal with soprano voice/their choreographer Ken - deep voice and can also di falsetto and the main dancer/also choreographer of their songs like stell Josh - oldest, charismatic member, rapper Justin - bunso(youngest)/director of their HSH MV/creative director of their WHAT MV/tallest/known for being corny becoz of his jokes Hope you stan them!! Worth to stan as they all are ahrd-working group full of dedication, passion, love for music, and everything they do they give their best (better than yesterday) plus HUMBLE!! Fandomname is "A'tin" (pronounced as number "18")
OMG this makes me so happy!! I'm glad SB19 is getting more attention globally :') their last MV was a ballad so this was like a complete 180 😂 Edit: also A'TIN is a play on words, cause we cant have 19 without 18, and 'atin' in tagalog means 'us' or 'ours'
oh at 2:55 its wha-wha-wha-wha-what? watawad (that's where the title came from lol). Watawad means flag, so im thinking the meaning is like, "what is your flag?"
We actually have 3 tagalog terms for "flag" -Watawat -Bandera -Bandila and I think "what is your flag?" is right because we have different flags on us. It's not only about the literal flag but it's also about yourself/dreams/standing on what you believe/etc. The song is a roller coaster HAHAHA it has a lot of meanings depends on your interpretations. But I think the main meaning behind this song is about them moving forward despite of their bashers, haters and struggles they're currently facing.
if your asking about the question mark on the flag .. it means that it can be anyones flag, no specific flag can be drag even though the mv took in the Philippines and the lyrics that they wrote it has a deep psychological meaning also, they dedicated it to everyone that can be anyones lyrics.
Thank you for checking them out. You can react to their dance practice 😉 1. ALAB DANCE PRACTICE 2. GO UP DANCE PRACTICE 3. RUclips FAN FEST PERFORMANCE 4. PEPSI DANCE PRACTICE
You got that right. Overall, the song is about self love and empowerment, that we can raise our very own flags. Reaching your dreams without stepping on to others. Thank you for appreciating and reacting to this Mv!
Josh is the glowing gem of their performance. Stell is the angelic voice of their song. Ken is the wild spirit of their dance. Pablo is the mastermind for their music. Justin is the visual artist for their video Stan SB19,a group of talented men.
This song is #SB19's respond to their bashers and haters (unfortunately most are filipinos)... even though how much trash they throw, they will not stop pursuing their dreams...they invoke God as their shield and protection.... and never be afraid to walk against the tide if you believe is right... raise high your personal flag....according to #SB19 leader Pablo it is about self-empowerment and self-love... thank you for reacting to #SB19... the creative director is the youngest member of the group Justin (22yr old)... the choreographer are all of them plus a friend... the song writer is Pablo their leader
Yes!! I love your observation at the end. When you said the war or battle is over and were united and connected... Jeez, how come i dint think of that??!
I have seen a lot of reaction videos of this song and i must say that your understanding of the message of the mv is the most on point. You got one sub here.
One of the members, Ken, released a solo under his real name, Felip. Check out the MV, "Palayo." Many reactors went crazy reacting to it. Lol. Ken or Felip is the one with the deep voice and is the main dancer of the group. Anyway, thank you for reacting to SB19. You should check out their ballads, like "Tilaluha," "Hanggang sa Huli," "Mapa" where their vocals and harmonization are showcased."
The back up dancers are actually pro dancers in different groups who have won many championships...Upeepz, Vpeepz, many others and SB19 Stell and Josh previous dance group Se-On ( who also won many championships in Asia covering Kpop dance moves esp BTS..in 2014 they met BTS before when BTS surprised them in the backstage after Se-On Performed... BTS was a Rookie idol Group that time)...By the way In this particular scene they are dancing in Volcanos Lahar sands...
They're really amazing, Hope you react to their song called Alab(burning), and Go up. For vocal you can react to Hanggang sa huli and tilaluha. It's really great.
Yaaaas omg finally!! Thanks Sean for reacting to SB19 (didn't know u already reacted to them lol I'm a little late) i remember requesting for you to react to them aahhkk thanks! The "Father, thank you for you are my amulet" The father they're referring is God and amulet is "agimat" in tagalog means a necklace or something that will bring you luck or success or safety. And a little fun fact, this comeback is very different from their other songs because their last album or songs was managed and produced by their Korean entertainment (however they made their own lyrics) and now for this comeback they have the full Filipino team that's why the whole concept is literally raising the Philippines flag 🇵🇭
Good day. Thank you very much for reacting. I appreciate your insights. For #SB19 dance performances, you may watch their RUclips Fan Fest performance or their PhilKor performance. You can also react to their GO UP dance practice. For live vocals, you can react to Hanggang sa Huli or Tilaluha in Wish Bus.

Yes! I loved that the mood switched to “happy” at the end. They had struggles and criticisms with p-pop/k-pop stereotype. No matter what they’ll rise above it. Finally they’re proving themselves worthy and gaining global attention. As a dancer, you should watch their dance speed (2x) challenge for Go Up. They’re all amazing dancers and vocalists of course. Cheers! New sub.
Hello KpopSEATIN!!! Thank you for your cool reaction to SB19's EPIC Comeback MV, "WHAT?". I Respect your Full Support for K-Pop but a Hearty & Warm WELCOME to the World of SB19!!! I was so excited to hear your comments from the beginning being a K-Pop Fan & Expert. Well guess WHAT? You hit the Bullseye about the ending. Personally, "WHAT?" to me is like a Sequel to SB19's "GO UP", their Redemption song. Their were Trainees for almost 4 years & they had the Courage to Introduce & be the TRAILBALAZERS of P-POP. Because they Set the Highest Standard in P-POP, it became a Recognized Sub-Genre of OPM (Original Pinoy Music). They have garnered so many Awards in the last 2 years. However, as Trailblazers, they & their New Sound, were not easily accepted. They received bashings from haters & Insults fro naysayers. Their Goal is for them to fulfill their sacred calling as individual multi-talented Artists & together as a Group. They started from Beneath the ground, & as depicted in the scene where they walked confidently "against the flow of human currents", they continue with their Forward, Upward professional Journey Onward to more Success while raising their Individual Flags. The 2 lines that stated that they do not need 'bullets" (Bad means) to get back at their Bashers but that through the "BARS" (lyrics of all their Original written or composed songs), these "BARS" will hit every Haters' Hearts instead. Thus the Celebratory scenes of SB19 with those whose Hearts they have Won was depicted in The End of the MV. To see their Dancing prowess, Please do a RV of their self-made "GO UP" Dance Practice Video. This was watched there posted by a Viewer & it catapulted them into the Local & International Music Scene, They also have a great "ALAB:/Burning Dance Practice Video. Thanks again & hope to see your next SB19 RV very soon. New Subscriber for SB19.
wow! I watch you mainly because of your Seventeen reactions. Carat here.. ^_^ Love those btw :) But I'm a Filipino and proud A'tin as well, so.. yeah! hope to see you react to SB19 Go Up dance practice. Thanks and have a good day!
i like your interpretation of the song. this song is about personal flags: your beliefs, identity, country, whatever flag you want to raise. and yes, pursuing your dreams despite adversity or something like that (but ultimately, it's about SB19's story and experiences). thanks for reacting~!
Yep. They are PPOP Kings ✨ and yes it's about self-empowerment and about not minding what other ppl say. SB19 themselves are discriminated in our country for trying something "new" like this, boy band/idol group. It's not really entirely new in our culture but many Filipinos still think that they are just copying "KPOP" which is they do not. They got the inspiration from them and show of their own talent and our own music that's why we're glad ppl are starting to like them more now not only in the Philippines but all over the world. Thank u for liking it 💙
They just dropped the dance practice for this song. Also since you are a dancer, you can check out episode 2 of their behind the scenes videos about how they made this music video. Episode 2 focuses on the choreography aspect of the MV.
Yes they're PPOP! You should react to their another song called ALAB (Burning). That song is cool !
I love that they are not ashamed to shout “PILIPINAS” to the world.

Thanks for positive reaction! This explained:
The whole video tells their story from the scratch to what they are now and what they can still do in the future. In the first part, they told us their story when they were bashed, discriminated and put down.Saddest part was when even the Filipinos did step down on them. They were even judged that they sound KPOP and there will never be a PPOP. They were in the news but didnt stop. They used those negativities around to pull positivities and courage to go ahead! I think JUSTIN is a dreamer.Looking at the Earth but blindfolded or maybe he represnt peole with Mental disorder living their own world.STELL hold some seeds trying to tell us to dig and dig, plant something and in the future, there will be a plenty fruits.KEN is like a King in a throne made of junk.He said in the lyrics that he picked up and collected all the trash, and that lifted him up but he keeps telling us that even he has a power now,our feet should always be on the ground.JOSH in real life didnt have an education degree. But on his part he said we are all different but sometimes, those so-called educated people are the worse. And he wont pretend. He started taking off those fancy clothes because that will never define him and what he can do. The Dreamer JUSTIN finally took out the blindfold. Now he is ready to turn those dreams to reality.Seeds from STELL'S hand grew. From the scene when he was holding soil, raining and lightning like a storm,it changed into a clearer nature scene. Then there comes the part when they are in soldier costumes which has a resemblance of Generals during the old times in Philippines. An image of a General signifies courage, focus and determination. Those people they were trying to pass through are the bashers and those who didnt like them. But eventually the same people became their fans and they celebrate together with SB19s music. Then it sounds like it became an anthem telling us that yes,PPOP is real.We have our own sound, our music!Thats why Filipinos, let us all rise our flag! They represent our country but in a bigger picture, they used a flag with question mark which represent each of us to show us that everybody has his/her own fla g to raise. The music video shows what hope, courage, determination and GOD above can do!
