I love the underwater camera footage !!! Not a big fish eater nor do I fish much myself, but I enjoy watching others and the excitement of them hooking those fighters !!! Excellent job !!!
I love the underwater views. It shows so much and the different types of fish available to be fished for. You guys keep up the good work and I hope your leg heals soon. 😊
Your fish at 4:16 is a Gray Tang - Also known as a Surgeon Fish (Acanthurus bahianus). Interesting to see him in open water like that. Usually they are on a reef. Most anybody that keeps saltwater fish has one of these or knows what it is.
I’m no longer able to do much fishing at my age anymore and this really makes me happy to watch this. Thanks and blessings to you on a quick recovery. 🥰🙏🙏🙏 👍👍
I love the beach views without tourists and the underwater views. I don't eat much fish but enjoy watching your videos to view the sea life, love the turtle and dolphins. Thank you, former Destin resident.💙🐟
Thanks Brant for showing the beautiful place you live! Prayers for a complete recovery. Don’t rush it! (As the days get warmer and the fish start biting, 🙏😎) lol
99% of youtube fisherman that was injured that bad would be at home. But Brant has nailed it I love the pier videos. It is so nice to get his insight with it also.
Well as I commented on your last video. This new one popped up on my for you watch. It didn't took long to see you in the next video. 😅😅 Great content 👌 and be safe and hope that leg gets better soon..
Sorry about your accident Bro, I know that sand can be tough just to walk in, much less run! Thanks for the Beach Pier Videos, I've learned a lot from you three guys, that's usually where you will find me when I come down to the great State of Florida!
Hey Brant! Came down from MD with my son for the grand opening weekend and had a blast! It was great meeting u and the other guys. We fished the piers all that week and I used a sabiki rig often. The only small baitfish I caught all week were those sand perch. I didn’t know what they were and I got several different answers from the local fishermen on whether they were good to use as baitfish. Hope u heal quickly btw.
Bout to be down there this coming weekend!! Go down every year but never bring my fishing stuff. The wife has noticed me watching your videos and now wants me to bring my stuff lol.
I could not sleep last night and was playing on RUclips :)...I enjoyed seeing this so much. I love to fish, but I am not very good. It was fun seeing what was below the surface. TY.
I used to fish that peer before the hurricane knocked it out. I moved away and didn't know they rebuilt it. Glad to see it back. Great footage. I like the Navarre peer also.
Watched the last viddo where you bled your calf muscle. I have been there, so sorry you sre hobbled. Thanks for posting today. Love the channel. Long time subscriber.
Love these underwater vids. Stopped by the Navarre pier on the way to Destin last Friday, lot of jack cravelle being caught, and the young man who we saw catch the first one had caught a sailfish earlier that morning.
Stumbled across your channel the other night and really enjoyed the content especially all the underwater GoPro stuff and will look forward to future content. Hope you get to feeling better soon from whatever your injury is. Subscribed ✅
Thanks Brandt it must be difficult not fishing felt sorry for you on the boat but you still helped out top effort mate hope you get better soon how long is the recovery.
@4:17 surgeonfish there are different varieties this one is very common usually in schools.. You will notice a dark 1/4" area on both sides of the base of its tail that is a spine or spur that retracts as it is now. When you catch one and grab it as fish do franticly shacking their tail, it draws and retracts it so it could cut you with it I have seen it happen.. If you grab it by the gills firmly you should be ok though pretty much anything can be eaten these fish are very thin and not worth it
Indeed that was a Surgeon fish. ( 75 different spieces in the family ) See them on the Florida Keys / reefs. Fantastic footage ! Hope you mend soon so you can get back to fishing.
Nice video. It brings back many fond memories of when I lived in Pensacola and fished the many piers and also the Gulf waters off of NAS Pensacola in my 23' Cobia.
Great video Brant! That’s some pile of a variety of fish. I was wondering how you’d continue posting. Great idea, these are pretty cool. Thanks for sharing! Prayers for quick recovery. 😊
All your videos are fun, but yeah, the GoPro videos are fascinating. I kinda never get tired of them. 🐋🐟Hope you have a great summer. Feel better soon. 🐬🦈
My sister in law lives in that area, like only 5 mins from Okaloosa Island. We LOVE going there. Beautiful beach, good restaurants, and awesome shopping on the pier. Love this place❤❤
Love the vids! The " banded rudder fish" looks like a pilot fish. They are often seen with larger species like sharks, turtles, etc. Get well soon, and I look forward to visiting BBO when I travel up from S.E. FL!
Something big passes under the camera at about 5:05, on the bottom to the right. Probably a shark. My guess is that the grey fish is a kind of chub. Cool video. It could be fun to put a chum bag out by a piling and see what comes in. Might as well put some bait out in the slick too.
Quite clear water, and more interesting than fishing. Good to checkout sea life before dropping a line. That turtle was amazing. So many people go to the end of the pier when often there is more to catch where the waves break, as this shows. Always amazing to see how much more life is in the warm waters of the Gulf and FL coast than in the cold Pacific on the CA coast.
We could stay down there forever 🌊🌊
send me a gopro
Give my man phanin a GoPro
Give the man a GoPro
Slide him a gopro fr fr
You gotta give dude a go so he can pro bro.
I am having a crappy day but watching this changed my mood. I lost my husband and he and I loved fishing. He would have loved watching this. Thanks!

I almost wondered if someone dumped a saltwater tank off the pier.
Hybrids of this species can be very rare. Dory would like this one very beautiful :)
That doesn’t look like a Gray Tang, it looks more like an Atlantic Blue Tang.
❤
There are several man made reefs in the immediate area
Love the use of the GoPro! Cant get enough of these videos. Good luck & prayers on healing back up soon!
I’m no longer able to do much fishing at my age anymore and this really makes me happy to watch this. Thanks and blessings to you on a quick recovery. 🥰🙏🙏🙏 👍👍

04:22 That appears to be a Blue Tang, cool tropical fish!
Love the video’s from the pier, good luck healing

Perfect timing. I will be in the Fort Walton area in 2 weeks and will try fishing those piers.

I could sit out there all day, not catch much and say "that pier isnt holding any fish or bait.🤣🤣 Great video 👍
This is so neat👍👍👍
Nice video. It brings back many fond memories of when I lived in Pensacola and fished the many piers and also the Gulf waters off of NAS Pensacola in my 23' Cobia.
4:15 that fish is most likely some type of tang or possibly a surgeon fish. I'm leaning more towards tang bc if it's body shape and size.
I totally enjoyed your video, thank you! Much love from Utah ♥️!
Great video Brant! That’s some pile of a variety of fish. I was wondering how you’d continue posting. Great idea, these are pretty cool.
Thanks for sharing! Prayers for quick recovery. 😊

@@AnglerUpTv just be patient!!! Trust me, I know that injury. And I was only 29 when it happened. I wasn’t patient, so it took longer to heal.
Hi Brant,
That fish you ask to identify , from your youtube video, I believe it's from the Surgeon fish species, 🐟
Cheers from Australia
Dave.
Thank you
Loved it Brant. Gotta film the hook set underwater on camera now haha
Great Video Brant !! I love all your Go-pro underwater videos !!!
All your videos are fun, but yeah, the GoPro videos are fascinating. I kinda never get tired of them. 🐋🐟Hope you have a great summer. Feel better soon. 🐬🦈
Very neat change of pace video!
Keep doing the Go-Pro thing! It's entertaining and it provides more information than we could get anywhere else about "what's down there?".
My sister in law lives in that area, like only 5 mins from Okaloosa Island. We LOVE going there. Beautiful beach, good restaurants, and awesome shopping on the pier. Love this place❤❤
Supper cool! That’s the pier I’ve grown up with my entire life
Hey Brant hope you feel better soon and about the 5:02 to 5:04 mark bottom right corner a shark was swimming off
Love the vids!
The " banded rudder fish" looks like a pilot fish. They are often seen with larger species like sharks, turtles, etc.
Get well soon, and I look forward to visiting BBO when I travel up from S.E. FL!
Brant! Good one! I can watch these pier GoPro vids, forever. Enough content for a dedicated channel, I bet… Hint hint.
In the beginning of the video I think they’re called thread fish I could be wrong. They are great bait fish down here in Tampa.
Wow! Love these videos. ❤
I cant wait for MB to rebuild ours. You make good content on them.
Very cool dude take care of yourself feel better 👍✌️
The camera views are great. Its cool how many types are just out there
Feel better soon Brant
Something big passes under the camera at about 5:05, on the bottom to the right. Probably a shark.
My guess is that the grey fish is a kind of chub.
Cool video. It could be fun to put a chum bag out by a piling and see what comes in. Might as well put some bait out in the slick too.
So much activity around that pier, kind of blew me away.
How do you turn your go pro when you have it set up on a rod? Only recently started watching your channel. 👍
You pan , tilt, track and zoom by good luck, of course.....😮
This is so cool to see under the water. Makes me want to buy a GoPro just to enjoy the fish.
Great video…absolutely loved it! The beauty of our Gulf’s fish rival those in the Caribbean. Who knew?
How awesome? Love your video!
We all gonna pretend that e didn’t see that shark beneath the GoPro at the 1:02 mark?
@ 4:19 it looks like a discus, my parents used to put those spade angels in thier fish tank. Is this salt water or brackish?
Quite clear water, and more interesting than fishing. Good to checkout sea life before dropping a line. That turtle was amazing.
