@ Rachel Reid, we are the same age and yeah I grew up with this too, I borrowed it from a friend, I remember trying to complete it with passwords, facing the last boss.
Tsun Dere I'm with you on that one brother. I lost mine in 2007 due to a pulmonary hemorrhage. I can take physical pain. The loss of a father or close loved one is an entirely different kind of pain. I love getting in the ring. I'm a boxer. If it was a broken rib, wrist, nose, collarbone, (too many to remember)....I've always healed up and was back in the ring in a couple of months. Its been almost 11 years since he passed on and I'll be honest with you....the hurt I feel inside....is the same as if he died yesterday. The hardest part for me is knowing that reguardless of how bad I wanna see my daddy....the closest I'll ever get is 6 feet away. I have been in alot of fights in my lifetime. I've been hurt many times but haven't been knocked off my feet or lost a fight yet but emotionally....well, thats a fight that I'll never win. Sorry about the long reply but it struck a nerve and I wasn't expecting what you wrote in the comments. I can totally relate to what you said and I wish I could say "time heals everything" but in reality whoever came up with that evidently never lost a parent, brother, or sister. I'm not sure if it helps you or not but the truth is my dad, yours, and anyone else's....will in a way still have a part of themselves continue living life after death through the sons and daughters they created. My condolences go out to you and your family
Kole Mancuso The worst part about losing a parent, is that you can't apologize to them. I wasn't the best kid, and sometimes they pissed me off...but still you WILL regret everything you said. Try to be nice to your parents folks!
Over 30 years later I can finally say I've seen the True Ending to Bubble Bobble on the NES. It's one of those "never thought I'd see it" moments, and I appreciate this video and Valis77 for the work they put into it! I'm curious what that password was at the beginning, but I'm just happy it went so well. What a great play!
I remember back in Christmas of 1990, I got Super Mario Bros 3, my younger brother got Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for NES and my younger sister got this. Memories.
This is one of the first video games I ever played. My aunt had it on her NES, and whenever I went over to her house we'd play together.... I don't think we ever made it to the end though. Haha.
I was born in 1978 and owned my first nes in 1986 I was gifted one by my grandmother for Xmas with this game and I played it and beat it over and over and over and over with my cousin who passed away a couple years ago,Watching this video brought back so many memories I I had to find it,I almost bought a refurbished original nes till I found it on the playstation store for like 8$,Now I’m in my glory,A grown 40 year old man jamming this out in 2019,Life don’t get much better then this!!!
Best two player game I ever played for the nes... But man, the end boss is tough with two.... and that little disappearing door on level 99 was so hard to get into to beat it the right way!
I just remembered this, I used to play this with one of my childhood friends when we were like 7 or 8, so cute and nostalgic memories. We're 22 years old now and also yes, I still talk to my friend after so many years, sometimes we hang out.
My cousin and I would usually start our Saturday NES sessions with rounds of Bubble Bobble. We never got through all of the levels but we'd have hours of fun.
My mom played this game so many memories of her playing. I just sent this to her phone. I wish I still had this system to see if she could beat it almost 30 years later !!! She beat that game various times. She even beat Jaws. She was a much better and persistent player than I was. My friends loved to watch my mom.
Contrary to popular belief, this game was not "based on a true story," but instead was "inspired by true events." There's a big difference. Essentially the game is a work of fiction but with some references to events that really happened, and people that really lived.
@@roguishpaladin Skel Monsta, you face a giant one at the end of Rainbow Islands, and when beaten it splits into 3 versions that apparently escape, and show up as Bubble Bobble Part 2 for NES's last boss (they combine into one entity after taking enough damage).
God, how I love this game, even if I played another version back then. I have to find out which one it was and replay it *-* But playing this game as a 3 years old child was just incredible :D
Love this game, use to go to this liquor store in hollister to play it and watch other people play it. Takes me back 😊 I'm just showing it to my son and he loves it.
My dad grew up with this as as a kid as an arcade game and he'd play it everyday before school. I think he said it was a gas station or arcade right by his bus stop that had it for 25 or 50cents cant remember. Well years later when I was like 7,8,or 9. He bought an actual arcade system for the game cause he loved it as a kid so much and I got to grow up with it in our garage witch he made into this amazing Loft. He still has it and I believe it works. I'm 20 now and I was just happeneing to think about it. It's a 2 player Game Green and Blue. The plot is you're trying to get your girlfriends back! There was a bunch of cheats too for the arcade verstion at least. Like you could type in "SEX" for your intials and it'd give you something special cant remember its been years. There was also one where youd type fire, jump do left right start etc kind of pattern and Im pretty sure it gave you infinate lives or It made you way faster until you died I think. again cant remember I should look it up.
I remember one night as a kid I set in my mind I would beat this game. It took a few steady hours straight. But for some reason it was a night I will never forget.

Its funny in highschool i used to fall asleep listening to the at least three nights a week cause my mom loved it and she would play at night in my room and i would watch till i fell asleep.
I FREAKIN LOVE THIS Awesome game...love it when you take too much time to beat a level & then the scary white wale appears. I refer to the wale as "Dickie Mo!" Sounds weird, I know, but I got it from some guys who were playing it on arcade at the local Circle K in my neighbor one day back when I was a kid. I got my 9-yr-old daughter hooked on it. Bubble Bobble Rocks!
+Harry Sparkle More than that, because once you go through all the levels the first time, you have to play all over again. This player put the password in so he could do the second round

Jason Briski I had played in my Master System :/
I used to play this on a Sega Master System emulator around 13 years ago.
Same here! My grandma loved bubble bobble. Memories of us playing together brought me here.
That’s really cool this was my grandma’s favorite game as well, I don’t have a working nes but I kept the cartridge to remember her
I played bubble bobble with my mom as a kid. We’d rent it from the grocery store.
I'm 41 and im sitting here humming it like it was yesterday. So simple yet so much fun.
Hell yeah! Me too. Addicting toon. Love it

The music is cheerful and upbeat, but not obnoxious, and the levels are creative in their challenges.
