Hey! In the "small box" category, I would personally recommend "Star Realms Frontiers". Deck-building dueling card game that can be played solo. Frontiers has 8 bosses to play solo against. It is very fun and fast
Great list guys, I especially liked the fact that I haven't heard of almost half of the games on your list. Thanks to you I have added quite a few new games to my wish list 😁👍 My favourite solo game right now is probably Mage Knight or Gloomhaven (yes, I seem to be predictable too). I am glad to see the Ratcatcher on your list, my pledge has not arrived yet but I am very much looking forward to playing it.
Orchard is awesome. Squire for Hire is in the same vein and even smaller but fantastic in its own regards. Also Palm Island is a lot of fun and can even be played without a table, entirely in your hand (hence the name)
Great that you got to categorized them : *Small game - spaceshiped for me by button shy games * euro game - feudalia cuz I hate vp based game I love the campaign there instead * war games - don't like a real history war game so I guess I'll just pick any other fantasy beat the boss game like God of War I guess it has the word war in it hahah * wild card - after the virus, from the creator of TM people just don't talk about it so much and I hate that they don't know about this awesome game! * campaign/story - hero realms so much to see and do with cards only * heavy - I guess Blight chronicles agent decker then it is really heavy litterly haha
I’ve been playing, not a board game, but a book game recently. If you like pen & paper rpg type games, but want something solo, check out the Storymaster’s Tales books by Oliver McNeil
Hey guys! Just found your channel and really love your content. 🙏 One wish for future top-list videos: Show what category you are currently discussing and also the current game with a little text on screen while you talk. Keep up the good work!
I appreciate the effort, but unfortunately most of these games depend on the luck of rolling dice... so, not for me... but I didn't know that Le Havre have a solo mode... I will look into that!
For Gloomhaven there is an expansion that is solo play only and each scenario is only for the specific character class to get it's unique item. The scenario mechanics are tailored around the characters strong and weak spots. I've only done the one for Beastmaster but it was a lot of fun.
Best Board game channel on RUclips.
The chemistry between you two is so enjoyable :-D

We've enjoyed Star Realms quite a lot, but yet to try Frontiers. Thanks for the suggestion Javier
My favorite solo game is one that can be played cooperative or solo, it’s called Marvel Champions
Review for it in the making. Great option especially if you love super heroes!
There is a game called Warp’s Edge and it is solo only. It has an Edge of Tomorrow (Live. Die. Repeat.) vibe like Groundhogs Day. It’s very good!
Will take a look! Thanks for the suggestion!
Nice list! Onirim is another great small box solo game
Yes! It almost made our list! Really enjoyable little game
My pick for small box game: One 👏🏻 deck 👏🏻 dungeon 👏🏻 also what on earth, ratcatcher sounds amazing :'D
Awesome pick Laura! Ratcatcher is a very funny premise, but it works great :D
Gloomhaven is a good choice for heavy game. Frosthaven will be even more heavy.
Crusoé (cru-zo-hey)
Quest for the lost pixel -my best solo boardgame, Arkham Horror Lcg,the second.
Love the sweater ❤️
Yeah spikeball is super fun!

YOU ARE BOTH AWESOME! ❤❤❤
Would add Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective, Chronicles of Crime and Leaving Earth.
Yes! These for sure are good additions
Heavy Game: Mage Knight the Boardgame. Not only my favourite solo game, but also my favourite game.
I second Mage Knight. It's amazing
I third Mage Knight. It’s fantastic.
Forth!
My #1 game of all time too

Subscribed because of the love for solo games!

Thanks for the tip.
Totally expected JG to break out into 'Single Ladies" . . .
Also, Kingdom Death: Monster is such a unique, mind blowing experience.

That actually could be an interesting category for next time -> games with minimal or no luck. :)
@@BoardGameHangover oh I would be sooooo grateful! 😊🙏🏻
I was expecting Palm Island in small box category. Suprised not to see it.
Awesome pick! There are so many great games that we both can't draft all of them in one video... Will have to make another one I guess :D
Wait, solo list without Under falling skies is like creating all times best rock music playlist without including The Queen!
Yes! Awesome game! Have to keep something for the next video tho.. :D
Thanks, now I’M stumbling over the word(s) “post-apocalyptic”
You are very very welcome.
Terraforming Mars is also very good
It's an amazing game and works really well solo. Have you had a chance to try out Ares Expeditions already?
Lol I actually subbed for 04:47 😃
Thank you for staying with us! :D
Great list guys!
Thank you so much!

Gloomhaven has a tons of content and plays in the regular box so we haven't even tried any of the expansions... Sound awesome tho!
Spikeball!!!!!
The British army defending themselves against “Zulu invaders” in the African continent? Lol
Welcome to the colonialism.
What's the Together shirt about?
That was a local TEDxRIGA theme one year. About how together we can do more.
Solo the Search for Planet X 😊
It's an awesome solo game!
Ratcatcher sounds interesting, if only it were a real game!
Ahh, if only.
KDM for sure :D
Yeah baby!
It is only me or the video only have 360p res option?
Hmm. 4k or at least FullHD should be available to everyone
@@BoardGameHangover It is 360p for me too
Not into solo games because board games are about the company to me, but I’m loving that Spikeball hoodie!
Spikeball for the win!
Sin duda, no jugaron al «Expansiópolis»
That zulus game sounds super problematic given the history lol “invaders” is interesting language
Who play alone? Just play online. BGA, YUCATA ++
There is comfort in solo analog gaming ;)
