If you haven't run across it, there's an album on RUclips by "Rogues Consort" (Sara and Maynard Johnson, John Turner and others) called Favorite Scotch Measures. (Miss Drummond of Perth's being a particular favourite.) They also did a few more albums that you might enjoy. (Lord Haddo's Favorite off of Oceans so Green is haunting.) All the best.

I like it when you hit the change exactly perfect and when you slightly flat it or sharp it, because either way your smile rises to the surface. Hmmm! Lovely as always. Here in Fairbanks , AK we call the last tune Dans En Dro. The info we have says it came from Brittany in northern France. Dans maybe meaning “Dance” En Dro as the type of dance. It being played in Cape Breton makes sense to me but I am not an historian.

This is a pipe march...but the melody is so evocative it needed to be slowed down. I learned it ages ago and slowed it down much as this. Great tune. Another great example is the reel.."the Ale is Dearr"...it is a great slow air. B minor.
What good are studio noise cancelling head phones without impeccable ear candy to make them worth the purchase price? As an autistic adult there are so few highlights in my life, except for perhaps beauty and music, and a well prepared dish.❤❤
