Honda makes it a point to run the Type-R engines through their break-in period at the factory before even being adding them to the chassis. The selling point is that the Type-R is track ready from day one. So, that break-in period excuse toward the end of this video doesn't hold up.

I ve had an Integra type R for 15 years and 400,000km, mostly on the Autobahn. My best car ever! After so many kilometers the car slowly came to its end, lots of rust, lots of little problems .3 years ago it was time to say goodbye. Now I bought myself the Civic 2017 hatchback 1 liter CVT. yep; I m getting old ;-)
Not sure if someone pointed this out yet, but the air that flows through the fenders has nothing to do with down force as you stated. It is for brake cooling. The wing, air diffusers, and spoiler are for down force.

That would be a good retirement car for me! You should have red finger nails, it is the Type R. I used my manual hand brake to shorten up the diameter of a U turn the other day. There was snow on the ground.

The hood scoop is for down force not for cooling the engine...amazing how many reviewers are getting this wrong. The hood scoop works with the fender vents to allow the hood to produce down force.

Well championship white is a CTR specific color and white is a lot easier to work with when it comes to staying clean. I have seen a black CTR and to be honest it looks like it came strait out of hell; but black is hard to maintain. It really comes down to your personal preference. - Laura
