Please find here a complete breakdown of my most recent fashion shoot .
EVA1 5.7k sensor , recorded 4K50 4:2:2 10 bits with the fantastic Atomos Ninja V .
Here together with the pretty amazing Xeen cineLenses 24mm/50mm and the 85mm

Amazing should have thousands more sunscribers & featured on the Cooke youtube channel. Love your works and the way you engage with the talent/subject. I hear & see the passion. Your composition crop for the BTS is unque as well helps me focus then the full scope on the actual EVA-1 gives great seperation between them. @@BernardBertrand I saw the comments on the GH5 group, it's beautiful and stylish colour to me. No one wants 100% colour accuracy all the time, this is art.
Also the 'softness' you got here really stands out, I know you said that was because of the VLog so I must try use it more. Cheers
Thanks Myles , I decided to leave that GH5 group, there are too many people talking that actually don’t know anything . I am always trying to share and help the beginners, The GH5 creative group is the one to stick with. Many talented people there ;-)

This is a difficult one, I have that question coming up from time to times , I will try to produce a video where I will try to give some answers about that topic, it is a tricky one in fact. It has so much aspect going on when it comes to driving models the efficient way. I promise I will try to set it up ;-)

@@Dwayne_M Unfortunately not, and I believe I did get learn a lot about that from the time I was assistant of Jean Baptiste Mondino for 3 years in Paris between 1997and 2000 , he is a real master and I did learn so much from him about it.

Hello Ted, merci pour votre commentaire. Je dirai que pour moi l'étalonnage est une forme de signature . Et franchement il faut ce laisser allez à ce que vos images vous inspire, en matière d'étalonnage tout est permis :)
Toujours très instructif, bravo. Le shoot a vraiment de la gueule. Mais quel dommage de pas proposer une version en français, ou au moins en sous titré français.

@@BernardBertrand Got it! thanks a lot Bernard. Another question. When you are outputting the 4K50 4:2:2 10 bits into Ninja V what are your settings on the Eva1? I have just got my Ninja V so still working it out but it seems it only outputs 4K50 4:2:0 10 bits. Thanks again.
@@lazzarini5629 Dear Jason, you are totaly right, I was recording 422 10bits but unfortunately the does not output 422 10b at 50fps. At least if we choose the S35 sensor mode. You may go up even higher then 100fps 422 but internally, as it it will be VFR :( so 50 or 60 is only 420 . I admit that all those recording settings may look a bit confusing. Thank you so much ! Actually I shoot both , depending of the project and workflow. I feel really confortable with both :)
@@BernardBertrand I see on Panasonic's sites that the EVA1 has a duo iso sensor so for that it duplicates some of the low-light advantage of the GH5-S. It is compatible with Canon EF lenses as well.
@@MrPhotoBlitz Both the EVA1 and the GH5S have that dual native ISO . That make them both , excellent in low light . The EVA is Canon mount all the way yes.

Always inspiring ! I am in love with your work ! Love the mood the and emotions. Do you think we can similar results shooting with a GH5 and m4/3 fast native lenses if everything else remains the same ( light sources, reflectors...) ? Would recording in Pro Res with a Ninja V help getting better highlights roll-off or at least more flexibility to soften them in post ?

Thank you so so much for your comment. I would say you could get same kind of result with a GH4 , no doubt, of course the 5.7k sensor of the EVA is from another level, but for sure you would get a result that would look really really close. Many people think that the gear they are using does the trick , and it is not. As you mentioned, the mood, emotions, angle, framing , color grading, all this would remain the same no matter what cam you are using. And the GH4/5 and 5s are extremely capable camera as well. So no worries at all. I have been doing so many cool stuff with the GH4/5 using the kit lens 12/35mm f2.8

Bonjour Antoine, en fait pas de bague d'adaptation pour ce shoot, la monture de ces optiques Xeen ciné est en fait la monture Canon ;-)
